Chapter 18

"The chappies chipmunk?" Asked a confused Mahmoud as he was confused as to who is the chappies chipmunk Ania is referring to.

As he looks besides him where Asmitha is standing, Asmitha turns her back on Mahmoud so he won't see that she got emotional. Mahmoud looks at Ania and questions her.

"Where is the chappies chipmunk?" Asks Mahmoud.

Ania too got confused and answers her brother.

"Well ummh I got dizzy all of the sudden and I don't know what I'm blabbering about." Replied Ania.

"Are you okay? Should I call the doctor?" Asked Mahmoud as he got worried

"No no please don't, I'm fine." Replied Ania

"Okay if you say so, but what do we do about this girl?" Asked Mahmoud.

Ania looks at Asmitha and questions her.

"What brings you here at the hospital and why are you wondering around so late?" Asked Ania.

Asmita's eyes gets filled with tears as she informs Ania about her mothers condition.

"My mom, she is hospitalized here so I'm taking care of her, she suffered a heart attack you see and I'm the only one taking care of her. I told dad to go because he has to go to work tomorrow." Explained Asmita.

"Okay I see, I'm very sorry about your mom, do you need a job?" Asked Ania.

Asmitha thought for a moment, then she realised it's a blessing in disguise, she will now be able to enter the Tharkur mansion regardless how she enters it.

"Yes please, I have to pay my mom's hospital bills so please if you have any kind of work please do give one to me." Begged Asmita

"Well I'm unable to work at the moment and work does strain me sometimes so you can be my PA, I'm a lawyer, the Tharkur family is best known for law back where we used to stay." Explained Ania.

"Yes please I would love to assist you!" Replied Asmita excitedly.

"No ways, absolutely No!" Replied an opposing Mahmoud.

"But brother, I need her right now, i have so much work and I'm hospitalized, although I'll be out in a few days there will be a lot of work and you heard what the doctor said please say yes." Begged Ania.

"There is no way I'm allowing her anywhere near you." Opposed Mahmoud.

"Brother please, please please please please, pretty please." Begged Ania in a sweet manner.

"Okay fine I hear you, but one mistake of hers she is out, I'm only doing this because I can't say no to you." Said Mahmoud.

"Yay! Thanks brother! She won't disappoint you, ryt Pakhi?" Asked Ania.

"Yes Ania, I promise." Said a thrilled Asmitha.

"Mam, it's Ania mam to you!" Said Mahmoud aggressively.

"Even miss Ania is fine, never mind brother Mahmoud, once you get used to him you'll see his sweet side, don't worry." Said Ania to Asmitha.

"Don't worry miss Ania, non of his insolent behavior affects me." Said Asmitha and Both Mahmoud and Ania looks at her with shocking faces.

"Uummmh sorry, I mean Mahmoud sir's behavior is well uuuh I mean eeeh justified yes, I was looking for the right term, justified!" Said Asmitha covering up for her mistake.

"Well she said justified brother Mahmoud, calm down now don't be angry." Said Ania to her brother telling him to calm down.

"I don't like her Ania and I don't want her anywhere near you." Said Mahmoud in a livid manner.

"And that's okay, she will prove to be trustworthy don't worry." Replied Ania trying to assure his brother.

"Sister is fighting for me inspite of not knowing my real identity, I guess it's true that blood bond is unbreakable." Asmita thought to herself.

" I don't know why I'm fighting for her this much, I only met her today but something tells me that I already know her, is it possible that she I actually know her? No no, what am I thinking, I'm from Mumbai and she lives here in Delhi so it's impossible." Ania thought to herself.

"Why are you still standing there, you can leave now." Said Mahmoud as he writes his address on paper and gives it to her.

"Ania is being discharged tomorrow morning so you can come the day after, and one more thing, don't be late or you'll be out of work, get it?" Said Mahmoud very rudely.

"Yes Mahmoud sir." Replied Asmita as she holds back her Anger.

"Brother Mahmoud, dont forget that Ania Singh Tharkur can't stand injustice." She said with a smile.

Which makes Asmita stops as she was leaving, she got emotional and remembered how her sister used to say the same, the scene replayed in her memory, she remembered her sister talking to a goon after ģetting it arrested.

"Don't forget that Shivangi Roy can't stand injustice!" As she was pointing at a goon.

Mahmoud laughs and welcomes back his Ania, the usual one, and realises that Asmita hasn't left but he couldn't see that she was emotional as she had her back on them.

"You're still here, I told you she is weird Anu." Said Mahmoud in a livid manner.

Asmita opens the door and leaves the room, she goes straight to the washroom and cried her heart out. After that she gathered her strength and decided to stop being emotional as it will be her downfall. She washes her face and leaves the room and went to her mother, where she found the doctors busy trying to revive her as she has stopped breathing. She cries so much trying to wake her mother up and the doctors keep telling her to leave the room but she refuses.

"The patient is not responding." Said the doctor as they continue to save her life.

Upon hearing this, Asmita shouts "Mom our Shivangi is alive I've seen her please wake up!"
