Jail bird

Intervar sat in the cell's low bottom bunk, hating his existence less than he had before. It was just a matter of time until they transferred him to the main jail; he assume he expected it to happen sooner.

He wasn't sure if he was lucky or not because the queen had absolutely zero control over her judicial systems; they just performed whatever was fastest and got them paid more. They hadn't done anything but file murder and kidnapping charges against him and send him on his way. What's more, he was still going as Shai Aijuh, which was just a joke.

 The inside wasn't much better; prisoners were allowed to wander about, but they were mostly confined to their small cells with three other individuals. And claustrophobic was an understatement; the only way they could stand in their cells was shoulder to shoulder; two individuals couldn't even stand at the same time.
