Bracelet

Woman just ignored what Alex was trying to say and took money from him "I don't like to owe anyone."

After saying her part she threw black bracelet towards him and left without waiting for his reply.

Alex just watched her leaving with black bracelet in his hand.

When she was out of sight, he looked at the bracelet.

It was polished and black in color with two golden threads at outer edge.

Two horizontal golden lines on pure black gave it classy look.

He didn't think much into it and wore it on his right hand.

After wearing it, he took a deep breath and decided to end his life when he reflected how miserable his life was.

How in a single day, he lost everything and till now he had no idea what was his fault

He stood up from the bench on he was sitting and started crossing the road while trying to control tears from his eyes to fall down.

He had barely taken few steps when truck collided with him.

Due to impact he was thrown few meters away.

His ribs and bones were broken, he was bleeding heavily. He was having difficulty in breathing.

Accident had attracted attention of passengers and people, scene became chaotic but Alex never felt so peaceful.

His vision started getting blur and he felt all the things in his surrounding were moving in slow motion.

Soon his surrounding stood still as time had been paused and he lost his consciousness.

In a dark space without a speck of light, a thing may be sphere or not but it was rotating at such high speed that it was impossible to make a guess about its structure.

Time and space was so much distorted that it was impossible to know how much time one had spent in this dark space.

Alex after losing his consciousness arrived here and he was attracted towards the rotating body due to some pulling force.

As he was approaching close to rotating object, strong winds started surrounding him.

Though he could feel the winds but they didn't have any effect on him instead he felt comfortable.

When he approached the rotating object, he was shocked because he knew it was the bracelet that he wore.

Though he still couldn't see the shape of object but he was hundred percent sure that it was the same bracelet.

As he approached close to the bracelet, he heard a genderless voice speaking in a foreign language.

@##$..###@#$$@@@ ...

Though he didn't know the language but he knew what it meant

"Conditions met, holder offered his soul in exchange for..."

This was the last thing he heard when he felt scorching heat coming from his right hand like he had been marked.

After that he felt the dark space started tearing down and he felt pain like someone was tearing him down.

He soon lost his consciousness.

After a long time, who knows how much…..

Alex felt body ache and he opened his eyes with great difficulty.

It took few minutes to sit up and observe his surroundings

"Where am I ?"

"This room doesn't look like hospital room."

When Alex was trying to observe his surrounding, he felt his mind getting cleared and he remembered that how his life was destroyed by John, how he ended his life due to depression and how he was attracted to bracelet in a dark space.

As soon he remembered incident with the bracelet, he checked his right hand and as he thought the bracelet was on his right hand.

He tried to remove bracelet from his hand but to no avail. It was like that it had become part of his hand.

He stopped his efforts to remove it when he was unsuccessful because the main question in his mind was 'where was he?'

He felt so weak that he didn't have any strength to maintain his sitting posture.

It was then he noticed that it didn't feel like it was his body because the body was of handsome boy who was in early twenties and was healthy as compared to his weak and malnourished body.

Alex was now sure that he had died and was occupying different body but the question was whose?

He tried to stood up and search for clues in room but to no avail.

When he was about to give up, he found laptop on a study table under the bag.

When he opened the laptop, he was surprised to see that it was not password protected.

But his surprise soon turned to shock because day it displayed was the day after he committed to suicide.

It meant that not even 24 hours had passed since he died.

He immediately tried to check news about the accident but to his shock authorities were so efficient that in an hour they completed the post mortem, registered the accident case and even incinerated his body.

He gave sarcastic smile and thought 'authorities are quite efficient in dealing with orphan and poor citizens.'

He ignored this issue for time being because his priority was to find in whose body was he and where was he?

He soon found some pictures on laptop and he got another shock after looking at the pictures.

In those picture owner of this original body was smiling with two beautiful ladies and Alex knew one of the ladies in picture who had put her hand around the neck of original owner of body.
