harnessing dark matter?

we seem not to understand dark matter but what is dark matter but the void? in space dark matter has the ability to collect into black holes and dark matter is every where in space harnessing it? playing god gets humanity nowhere but harnessing dark matter research would be best kept away from away from earth very far because one,mess up and the entire galaxy could be washed away and devoured and it would be.... depressing to say the least
