Chapter one

Riley POV AND THIRD PERSON

The man was running down the alley and kept frantically glancing behind him stumbling then quickening his pace with fear very evident in his face, he tries several doors that are locked then starts running again seeing a road with a few passing cars.

" HEL-" He shouted but not even getting to finish his words as he was yanked into a shadow, shoes scuffing against the concrete and then silence.

Blair was driving with her window cracked and radio playing, she slows down then looks around shrugging her shoulders as she picks up speed in her new audi heading home for a family dinner.

Riley moved into a huge newly remodeled cabin at the edge of town, she also had hired personal to take care of cleaning and serving not by her choice though but by her aunt's doing.

" Riley I'll be heading out, tell me if there is something I missed or tell Frank he'll take care of it" Elsa said hugging Riley peppering her face with kisses, she then looks around with a small smile.

" my niece doesn't need me anymore" Elsa said pouting then Riley helps with her aunt's things and watches as Frank drives her to the towns airport where their jet is to fly her back to the city.

Riley walks out on her large porch looking at the forest and mountains that are out back of the cabin, a smile plays on her lips watching a few deer grazing near the tree line and drinks her hot cup of coffee.

Riley watches the deer then they get startled by something then runs away, she watches a bunch of black birds fly out from the trees where the deer was close to and Riley thought she seen a shadow move from the tree tops.

" well I'm definitely gonna keep my gun safe unlocked " Riley said to herself then walks inside to unpack the rest of her bags so she could bathe and head to bed for school tomorrow.

The next morning she does her morning routine then gets dressed and quickly eats breakfast, she then walks into the garage that holds ten different cars, trucks and SUVs, she also has several kinds of motorcycles, four wheelers and ATVs for the large property.

" in thinking of taking of taking one of my classics" Riley said to Frank as he smiles then nods and enters the garage while Riley grabs her back pack then walks out the front door.

A loud engine that brings a smile on her face as Frank pulls her car up to the curb, Riley runs her hand over the orange and black paint job and thanks Frank for the excellent wax job he did.

" you chose the 1964 Shelby Cobra...good choice for my first day Frank" Riley said with a wide smile as she gets in the driver seat and puts her playlist on the starts her drive to school, she pulls up gaining all of the attention from the students and teachers that was in the parking lot.

" ok maybe I should of drove something more low-key" Riley said parking her car in the space that Frank gave her a slip for a park spot that was two rolls back from the front.

When she gets out of the car she watches a 2023 BMW series 4 black car with tinted windows pulls in the parking lot next to hers when a blonde haired blue eyed beauty steps out of the passenger side with a handsome man getting out from the driver side and kept looking over at the brunette who was grabbing her bag from her car.

The blonde haired girl scoffed at her boyfriend then takes a double look at the girl who is beside her, she stared for a moment then quickly walks away leaving her boyfriend behind.

" Nice car...I'm Trevor by the way, so a 64 Shelby Cobra" Trevor said admiring the car for a few seconds as the rest of his attention went to admiring me, I secretly roll my eyes then nod my head then start heading toward the school to where I pass the blonde who kept stealing glances of me when I walk by. I could feel them both behind me with their eyes on my back, then what catches my attention was hearing Trevor call the name Blair several times.

" BLAIR" Trevor shouted finally gaining the head cheer leaders attention and all of the students in the hallway, he tells her that he's gotta talk to his coach then from the sucking sounds they must be eating each others face that makes me scrunch up my nose.

All the way to the office I felt her eyes still on my back, I don't pay her any attention and yes I am attracted to her.

" Hey Blair why you going this way your locker and classes are back the other way" a girl with red hair said passing by Riley stopping in front of Blair who kept watching the brunette head down the hallway, she loses sight of her.

" Shit....yeah I was going to the office, but never mind let's head to class" Blair said scanning the hallway that is filled with students before turning around to leave, Riley smirked to herself when she saw the girl looking for her.

" Miss. Clayton" a woman's voice brings Riley back to earth as a woman who looked to be around their age, the only difference was how professionally dressed and Riley looked at her from head to toe making the woman blush.

" well I'm in charge of you for homeroom and I also have you for a couple classes which is for Art, photography and I help with P.E. since Mr. Hale hadn't been to work for over a month now. Follow me I'll introduce you to your peers in homeroom and my Name is Alexis Monroe by the way." Alexis said with a sweet smile shaking Riley's hand as they walk down the hall that was quickly clearing since the bell went off, when they enter the classroom and Miss Monroe hands her packet pointing to the seat that's the only one open by the window.

Riley notices the blonde she seen earlier at the desk that seats two people.

" you'll be sharing with Blair for the rest of the school year, do you want to introduce yourself or would you like me to do it" Alexis said smiling at Riley.

" ah I do it....Hello I'm Riley I'll be finishing school here in lovely Frando Min solo and I love art which I'm opening a small gallery in town if anyone would like to bring something they drew, painted or even photography and it's the newly renovated warehouse on the main street" Riley said mentally facepalming herself for rambling on , she quickly goes to her seat sitting on the outside while Blair sits by the window. Riley seen Miss. Monroe smiling brightly at her until Blair clears her throat bringing Miss. Monroe out of her thoughts, she starts going over all the things that will be on this quarters agenda, Blair kept looking over to Riley who was there drawing and she stares down at the paper seeing a portrait of Miss. Monroe that looked life-like then a photo, she must admit that a part of her was jealous that this Riley wasn't drawing her and she bends down to hit her back to make Riley mess up.

" oh sorry " Blair whispered then her breath hitched when Riley smiles at her, she glances from her eyes to the girls lips a couple times until Miss. Monroe calls on her while her back was turned writing on the board, she turns around to see a slight blush on Blair's face and she felt her stomach flip knowing that it was because of Riley.

" um nevermind I'll do it" Miss. Monroe said as the sits back at her desk letting the students talk amongst their selves as she kept stealing glances at Riley who was doing the same with her while working on something.

The bell goes off and all the students start grabbing their things leaving the room, when Miss Monroe calls for Riley to stay behind.

Trevor was waiting at the door for Blair and she smiles at him but it falters when she hears Miss Monroe ask Riley to stay behind and Blair acts like she is tying her shoe when Miss Monroe tells her that she'll give her a tour then write her an excuse for being late to her next class. Trevor looks down at Blair confused by why his girlfriend is playing with her shoe and he then seen Riley talking to the teacher that he also fantasizes about, Blair raises up glancing back then seen Trevor staring at Riley and Miss. Monroe.

" get your ass going...." Blair said with a bitchy tone, she really doesn't care if he checks people out but deep down it bothered her to see him doing it with Riley.
