DAVID

I rubbed my hands together waiting for a second large thud and a satisfactory scream.

But rather I got Papa's voice again. "Stop! Don't make a move Christy. The stairs are covered with gel and right now you're on it! Don't move, please be still I'll pull you out." He groaned.

I popped my head out from the door frame. Papa was already on the bottom of the stairs, he got up grabbing his shoulder.

"Oh my God! Elie if I drop. The baby!" Mama panicked holding onto the bars on the side of the stairs.

"Don't worry Christy I got you don't let go. I'm coming." Papa said.

He took off his shoes slowly stepping on the gelled wooden step. He almost fell on one of his steps, but he steadied himself. He goes up to the top of the stairs. He cleared the bees and hold on to the big pillar which went from the ceiling down. Mama reached out only making her situation worst, she almost dropped, her feet slid and I watch with contentment.
