"Yeah, he's still alive." She replied evasively, voice just barely audible. I sat back and pretended to be interested with something across the room. It was absolutely packed even though there was a constant flow of people coming in and out. Having decided that this wasn't exactly the best place to discuss what I assumed was a hard topic for her, I changed the topic of conversation.
"So, Aurora, what's your major?" I finally asked, figuring it was the safest thing to discuss at the moment.
"I'm double majoring in business management and finance. I want to open my own bakery someday." She said animatedly as an ear-to-ear smile graced her face. The sight took my breath away with all its beauty.
"That's amazing. Has that been a dream ever since you were little, or something that you recently decided on?" I asked, wanting to know everything about her passion that made her smile so genuinely. She laughed to herself before answering me.
