Away in Zhang construction, Caishen had just come out of a meeting with a team that was bidding on a contract for the construction of a mall.
He was about to call up his friend Dong Rongyan to schedule an appointment for Alix with an orthopedist when his mother showed up, uninvited and dropped by his office.
Now they were face to face, him with a dry smile on his face and her a contented one.
"You look well, not like you have lost weight. I was worried that Alix would stress you somehow."
Caishen gave her a humor filled look that said, mother really!
"I know that Wang ma has been keeping you apprised of all the comings and goings in my house." he told her.
His mother glanced at the cat which was sleeping on his desk like a permanent decoration. and she raised her eyebrows.
