After a whole hectic night at the emergency department of Yen hospital Zen has just returned back to her room, without thinking anything she threw her bag on the sofa and fell straight on the bed without caring about what will happen if she hit her head on the side table near the bed.
She slowly went into a deep sleep, it was already afternoon when she woke up, rubbing her drowsy eyes like a small baby who just woke up she put a foot on the ground out of the bed walking towards the wash basin she saw the time on the clock that was hung on the wall it was 3 o'clock already.
Washing her face she looked into the mirror a beautiful face of hers came into her vision before she could think of what she had to do that evening her phone began to ring, she walked to the bag that she threw on the sofa early this morning shuffling through her things she finally found her phone before she could pick the call she saw it was her father's call
"Not again" is all she said as she picked his call
"Why are you not back home Zen didn't you say you'll be back this morning?"! came a loud voice from the other side of the phone.
Zen knew she was in trouble now, she remember she had to go home today morning but she was so tired that she directly picked the bed that was closest to the hospital and obviously that was her hostel room.
"Dad I'm sorry, I was tired so I picked the place that was close to hospital but don't worry I'll be back this weekend, how about that?"
"Weekend...You I want you here in the house today, and I know you don't have any classes for a week, if I don't see you at home by dinner don't turn to me to save you from your mother she is all ready with ways to keep you at home by her side 24/7."
"No... No Dad tell her I'll be home I'm already on my way how can I not go home I miss you and mom."
"Ha.. you miss me and your mom it's more like you like your freedom more, afraid that you have to stay at home instead of the hostel right?"
"No, I really miss my Dad"! Zen said with a smile on her face.
"Enough of it I know, you would not agree to come home until your mother threatened you, alright I'll see you at home then, be safe on the road".
"Ok Dad"
Keeping the phone on the table Zen sat on the sofa with her head leaning backward taking a deep breath she said "Mom when will you stop threatening me?"!
Staying at home was equal to being watched 24/7 and that is something she can't tolerate.
Being a medical student is already tiring enough.
Zen picked up a fresh set of clothes took a bath and picked the most comfortable shoe she had pulling her bag she found the key for the door and walked out, the last thing she would like to do is to put on make up as long as it was not some special event she would never take a look at the make up set that her mother had given her just a week ago so that she could act more like a 22 year old girl and stop wearing jeans and shirts every day.
The dresses that her mother bought for her last year still had their tag on them not even once she had picked to wear may be because she did not get a chance or occasion to put on a dress but only she knew that she avoided almost all such occasions where she would be compelled to put on such dresses and heels.
