CH 4: Mother's Face

Jason looked at the smug looks on both of his brothers' faces and felt like smacking them off but he knew better than that. His mother was most likely already watching so he had to be on his best behavior, for now.

'Keep smiling you, damn bastards. I will make sure I get my revenge. It will be soon and it will be vicious. You have my guarantee.'

As if both could read his thoughts, the smiles on their faces froze before returning. It was not the first time Jason gave them a look that swore revenge nor would it be the last but Dick and Tim would not just take it lying down.

'Bring it on, little brother.'

'Come any time you are ready, Jason.'

Jason smiled at his brothers before waving and walking toward the house. While it was called a house, it was better to say a villa. The place was huge and looked weird in the neighborhood of houses 1/3 or 1/4 its size.

Jason walked into the gates and was making his way up the path when he felt a new pair of eyes on him like a predator watching its prey. Jason paused in his steps when he felt that gaze upon him.

'Man up, Jason. She won't be too bad. Uncle took most of the blame for me.'

Jason continued walking and finally made his way inside of the house. When he finally entered, he saw someone sitting in the living room and gazing at the door. The woman was sitting in an ivory-colored chair that was being bathed in a ray of sunlight while stroking a black cat sitting across her lap.

The woman was gorgeous with the body of a succubus. Her smooth pale skin was mostly covered by the suit she was wearing but even the small amount of skin she exposed was flawless. Her large bosom hidden beneath the suit seemed to be ready to break the buttons constricting them at any moment.

Her black hair was tied into a bun atop her head. She wore glasses but they did not hide the crimson eyes on the woman's face that matched all of her children. On the woman's face was a look of frustration and helplessness when she looked at her 2nd son. Even though she was frustrated, it did not distract from her beautiful features.

The cat on her lap was Smelly, the family cat. It was looking at Jason just like his mother was. The cat was quite smart sometimes even though it acted like a ditz most of the time.

'Mom needs to look uglier. I'm tired of all these guys try to court her going through me. She is my mother and who she dates is her business. Why bother me!?'

Jason ignored the thoughts and walked toward his mother before kneeling. He did not even wait for his mom to begin reprimanding him and just got into position. He knew his mother well.

Hyun-Hwa Kim was just like her name described her, beautiful and wise. She had lost her parents at the age of 16 and had to take care of her younger brother by herself from such a young age.

Despite that, she finished not only high school and college but also formed her own company from the ground up. She was married at 19 but ended up divorcing her husband after only 4 years. On her own, she built up her company while raising 3 sons. Now at age 38, the woman ranked in the top 100 of the wealthiest people on earth.

But at home or with close friends, she was not the calm and collected woman she presented herself in the business world. She very playful and almost like a child in demeanor, she even pouted sometimes when she did not get her way.

With her children, she was a loving mother who supported them most of the time in whatever they felt like pursuing. Even with her busy schedule, she would try her best to make it to as many of their events as possible and family dinner every night.

But her bad side was something no one wanted to see. They would see her ruthlessness that she would show in the world of business. Her actions would be swift and severe to anyone who crossed her.

So when one of her sons messed up, they knew they were the ones in the wrong and would not complain about any punishments they would receive. They knew it was their fault and what they deserved. This was a trait their mother instilled in them since young.

Hyun-Hwa stared at her son without saying a word for several minutes. She saw from the corner of her eyes, she saw that both of her other sons were watching with eyes filled with anticipation.

'These little brats. They usually get along so well but always seem so eager to see the other get in trouble.'

She let out a sigh to herself before motioning with her free hand for Jason to stand up. He did so without hesitation. Pretending to not notice or be reluctant to follow her commands would only land him in more trouble.

"1 month. School, tutoring, and home. You will send me your tutoring schedule by the beginning of the week and will be home by 4 on days you do not have tutoring. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am!" Jason said without hesitation but felt pain in his heart. He got out of class around 3:30. The only he could make it home by 4 is if he took a taxi every day which would cut into his personal budget.

Although his mother gave him and his brothers allowance, she did not spoil them. Which is why none of them wore the most expensive brands or had a driver send them to school every day. She wanted them to build character which did work in the end.

Jason did not ask for extra allowance but instead worked for it and usually walked. While he believed money was meant to be spent, he still did not like to waste money.

Seeing his mother nod her head in acknowledgment, Jason turned around and went to his room. He did not notice the small cat following him.

When Jason made it back to his room, he felt a headache that turned into a migraine. Before he could even speak out or yell for help, Jason collapsed onto the ground. The only one to know was the little cat who simply licked Jason's face while he was unconscious.
