CH 2: Not My Day

Jason walked out of the dojo and toward's Midtown High without any pep in his step. He had already taken a beating that morning as well as having to prepare for the consequences of sleeping with the star football player's girlfriend. Which were mainly his mother's suspicions and making sure he did not walk around the house shirtless for a week or so.

As Jason walked long the sidewalk absorbed in his thoughts, he did not notice the commotion happening around him at first. He felt a few people bump into him but that was normal. When the impacts became harder and the screaming got louder, Jason finally focused on the world around him.

Everyone was running in the opposite direction of where he was walking. They were screaming yelling to get away as fast as they could. Jason finally saw what they were running from.

Up the road, a large grey figure burst through a building and continued charging down the street. He followed by a man in blue and red tights with web designs on them. The tight wearing man shot some white substance on the grey figure but it did nothing to the figure.

"Rhino! You're gonna hurt someone!" Yelled the man in tights. He shot out the white substance toward the buildings around him and used them to swing in front of the 'Rhino'.

The man in tights reached out his hands to stop the Rhino but was unable to stop him. The figure kept charging forward although much slower than before. After another 20 or so meters, Rhino was finally stopped and could be seen clearly for the first time.

The man was a titan. He seemed to be almost 7 feet tall and weighed at least a ton. But all that weight looked to be put into pure muscle. He wore a grey suit with a pair of horns on the head.

'Guess that is why they call him Rhino.'

Jason did not move and watched the fight. he knew that both of the combatants were close combat fighters so he was not in too much danger as long as he stayed over 20 meters away. He actually pulled out his phone to record it.

Spider-Man had been around for 2 years and Jason had seen him, battle criminals, a few times before but never saw Spider-Man face off against a villain. Always crime to see in New York. Jason zoomed in on Rhino's face when he saw something weird.

There was pure anger on the large man's while his eyes were slightly glowing red.

'Magic? Super drugs? Aliens? No matter. Still gonna be fun to watch.'

Rhino did not charge toward Spider-Man again but instead picked up a nearby taxi before throwing it at the wallcrawler. Spider-Man swiftly dodged it before catching it with his webs and throwing the car back at Rhino.

"Spider-Man!"

Rhino grabbed the car mid-air before ripping it in half and throwing the pieces to the ground beside him. He put his head down before charging ahead.

'Good thing that taxi driver ran away before the fight started. Although I don't think he will be happy to see what happened to his car.'

Spider-Man dodged to the side and shot his webs at the Rhino's feet. This caused the huge man to trip over his feet. Spider-Man then shot several more webs until the Rhino was covered in a cocoon and looked like Australia spiders were left alone with his body for a few months.

Spider-Man said something to Rhino but Jason was too far away. Seeing that the fight was over, Jason began walking away and heading to school while getting ready to post the video on his favorite site, [Superpowered Smackdowns], but before he could, his phone had a white string attached to it.

Jason turned around to see Spider-Man on the other end of the 'string' before pulling it and Jason's phone toward him. Spider-man pressed a few buttons on it before throwing the phone back to Jason.

When Jason caught it, he saw that the video he had taken was deleted. Jason stared at Spider-Man with frustration in his eyes.

"Sorry, kid. I have a media guy and don't want to step on his toes. Also, don't wanna be featured on that site but the first reason is the main reason. See ya around."

Spider-Man then jumped up high and shot a web high up on a building before swinging away. Jason looked at the figure leaving in frustration before he looked down upon his phone.

He pressed a few buttons before the video reappeared on his phone. Jason smiled before walking forward and past the Rhino to continue on his way to school.

'Haha. Stupid Spider-Man. I've accidentally deleted stuff too many times and automatically have backups for everything.'

Jason then posted the video with the title, [Spider-Man is a Bitch], on the site. He smiled to himself as he saw the title and successful upload. He had an extra pep in his step even though his body was aching all over due to his earlier beating.

By the time Jason arrived, he actually felt much better after his initial beating that he had to endure that morning. He walked into the school earlier than usual that morning.

Even though it was 30 minutes before classes started, plenty of students were already there. Jason saw that no one seemed to be paying attention to him and let out a breath of relief.

'This means Liz did not tell anyone and I'm safe. At least for this morning.'

Jason began humming a small song as he made his way to his homeroom. But as he walked around the corner right in front of his homeroom, he ran bumped into the one person he did not want to, Flash Thompson who also happened to be looking very pissed at Jason.

'Well there goes my morning.'
