Chapter 15

(Alec's POV)

*7:30 PM*

I sat on the couch while the twins were in their bed sleeping. I flip through the channels trying to find something good to watch. But all I could think about was Sarah hoping she is okay; I haven't heard from her for a while.

I dropped the remote and picked up my phone. I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up. It rang 5 times before I heard "Hey bubba."

"Hey sis how are you? I was just thinking about you." I said.

"I was just thinking about you guys too. Are you guys doing okay without me being there?" She said in a sad voice.

"Yes, we are okay, but we miss you being here that's for sure." I said with a little laugh "Especially your cooking."

She laughs "I bet you do bubba. But please be honest, I know it must be really hard by yourself with the twins."

I sigh and say "To be honest, I'm exhausted. But don't worry about me, I'm doing perfectly fine. I promise."

There was silence, all I could hear was someone breathing.
