Chapter 11

(Sarah's POV)

I can't believe he is gone. Both of my parents are gone. I leaned up against a tree and slid down it crying. I sob my heart out, I can feel my heart break into a million pieces.

I screamed as loud as I could "WHY!? WAS NOT TAKING MY MOTHER GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!? YOU HAD TO TAKE MY FATHER! WHAT'S NEXT HUH? MY BROTHER AND MY SISTERS!?"

I sat at the tree crying for a good 15 minutes. I finally decided to get up and collect some sticks and I found a couple nice size logs. I headed back to where my dad laid and there leaning up against was my brother.

"Bubba?" I said softly.

He looked at me and with a sad smile pulled me in a hug. "I heard what you screamed, just know you will never lose me." He said softly.

I cry in his arms knowing it's a possibility that I could and he wouldn't be able to stop it. We let go of each other and began working on our stretcher.
