Eric's PoV:

after walking through the woods we came to a town. Makarov said this town was Magnolia. "The town looks like one of those old Midevil towns you see in books." Eric thought as they made there way through the town towards a brightly colored building with an orange banner hanging from it. when they enter the building there were a bunch for people chatting and drinking. I followed Makarov through the building to the bar. when we got there I took a seat and turn around to see Natsu arguing with a black hair boy. I turned to Makarov and asked " What's it like to be in a guild?"

Makarov looked at me for a second and said, "A guild is a place where wizards find work and do jobs . Everyone is treated like family in fairy Tail."

"What kind of jobs are there?" I ask eagerly

"There are many different types of jobs like monster hunting, protecting someone, and translation of ancient texts. These are just a couple of the jobs that you can do." Makarov said

" Okey it sounds like fun so how do I join?" I ask in a rush

"Just let me put the guild symbol on you and fill out some paperwork and you can join." he said calmly

so after we fill out the paperwork he asked me whare and what color I wanted the symbol, I told him my left shoulder and green.

I decided to press yes what the system didn't tell me was the absorption process was not just painful it literally lit my body on fire and froze me solid so I couldn't move or make a sound.

when it was finally over I heard "DING!"

System: congratulations on not dying because you made it through that pain you unlocked you stats. I also made it look like you fell sleep while you absorbed the demon soul

"Why?" Eric asked

System: That's because the more monster you kill the stronger your magic gets because you absorb beast and demon souls.

"That sounds two good to be true. What are you getting out of this?" Eric said

System: I am stuck with you until you die and even though I don't like you I don't want to die yet and it will be fun watching you get your butt kick by some monsters.

" So you really just want to see me in complete agony right!" Eric said

System: I'm glad we are on the same page so let's get going before I shorten the time limit on the job.

Eric woke up from his nap to find he was sleeping on the floor under the bar. after he did a few stretches he walked over to the request board to find the job. He found the job very quickly and took it off the board.
