"Have you seen my pencil?" I whispered to Craige when it was almost time for Trigonometry and I could not find my pencil.
He shook his head and opened his pencil case to lend me one of his. "Here."
"Thanks." I took the pencil from him and rummaged through my bag and still couldn't find my pencil anywhere.
Katherine noticed me and turned to me with a frown. "Why do you keep on losing them? This is the third time already."
I let out a sigh. "It's not like I'm losing them on purpose. I'm pretty sure that it was just here before lunch break."
'What the hell is going on? Are they being spirited away?'
Craige patted my head and smiled. "It's okay. Let's stop by a stationary store later and buy new ones."
"Okay." I nodded with a smile. Although I didn't like the idea of my things being spirited away, it gave me a good excuse to go on small dates like this. 'I guess I have to thank the spirits.'
