Chapter 2

"Hey! Leo, here's the agimat you asked me for. Thanks for the trouble!"

It's a bright morning on the seventh day of the week. I am patiently waiting for my package to arrive. Finally, he's here...

The Dampil family once owned a great logistics corporation. But after they were involved in Illegal transactions, the Dampils were attacked by the government and shut the corporation down. There are rumors that they failed to support a politician due to conflict of interest and got framed. Hence the gentleman and the lady of the house were sent to prison, leaving their only child Usman behind. What's crazy about this child is his decision-making ability. He was able to start a logistic company on his own at an early age. Reo may be popular with the kids, but this guy built an empire already.

As soon as I received the last puzzle of my work, I expressed my gratitude to him by giving a folklore book. His face was painted with pure mockery and disgust.

"Are you trying to evangelize me with your hobby?" Usman asked.

"No no... It will help you tomorrow or maybe in the near future!" I replied.

He was figuring out the meaning behind my words. I started to walk away from him, eager to start executing the plans I made for years.

"Hey, I just destroyed your brother in fencing today!" Usman shouted.

"Ohhh? I get it, no wonder you have bandages in your body". I shouted back.

"Ohh god dang it! Speaking of bad timing" I thought to myself. "Amm... Usman, can you go to our residence this afternoon at 4?"

Usman nodded and formed an ok gesture on his hand.

After a long, sneaky way, I reached the Silliman manor. Mrs. and Mr. Silliman are nowhere to be found, they traveled overseas to look for business opportunities.

"Now then! Let us start fudging the greater Demon and God!"

I started aligning the 5 agimats I collected. Looking back, it made me halt for a moment. Reminiscing the long acquisition process. I thought it would take me 7 years, but I'm glad it only took 5. Thank goodness Usman was extremely competent!

When I reached this world, I couldn't sense any mana flowing around. Later on, I found out that this world lacks magic. Knowing that, I was devastated. It made me wonder what the people here did in the past that the lesser gods denied them the access to magic. As I built up my methodology, I came to a conclusion that this world only possesses curses. And this country has plenty of it.

There are 2 types of curses that exist in this universe. The first one are Innate curses, curses that are produced by nature and elemental beings. Lastly the synthetic curses, these are the curses that are produced by individuals that carry immense levels of emotions over a long period of time. However, without a high level of focus, the synthetic curses will consume its wielder.

Curses are imbued in materials. Those who possess these materials can wield it's cursed attribute. These materials are called Agimat.

"Now let's start casting the first one, The Journal of the patient lady".

"Talaarawan ng pag-aantay, ibuklat ang pahina ng oras. Ipahintulot ang pag pila ng tala. Pigilan ang pag galaw ng mga spada ng orasan."

Images started to pop up in my head as I cast the curse. If I were not living the way I am right now, this curse would undoubtedly consume me. It made me feel heavy-hearted...

"Susing gawa sa balete. Tirahan ng pumanaw na makapangyarihang Diwata. Ibukad ang lagusang nag durugtong sa mga sansinukob."

The wooden key of the fallen fairy. It was rumored that all witches who attempted to use its power were burned beyond recognition.

"It was accurate!" I thought while heavily panting.

"Dang it... It almost got me!" I shouted pannickly . "It scared the hell out of me... This fudging curse burned parts of my memory."

With the power of the wooden key, I was able to open a portal that connects to that universe.

"Now that the portal is ready. I will start to reclaim my power."

"Golden strand of tikbalang, grantor of desires, hear my command, present to me the power stolen by the greater demon and God, weaver of birth and death. String... of... fate..."

The curses I've been enduring right now were removed, I was able to hand it over into an object. All of that thanks to my malevolent power.

"Alright, next is to utilize the power of the remaining 2 agimat. This would be enough..."

The ancient Latin scroll and Oil from a 4 eyed coconut are the agimat that give protection to its wielder. These two are easy to get because it's passed down and reproduced by hermits through generations.

The ancient Latin scroll toughens its wielder skin and gives immortality. Though the wielder can't protect itself from aging. Most wielders of the ancient Latin scroll cut their own tongue to negate its immortality power.

On the other hand, the Oil from a 4 eyed coconut is used by hermit to cure any illnesses and bruises, Since this agimat is an innate curse, it will not require any casting.

"It's time to start my malevolent plan, a plan that means to disturb the balance of the universes... I the WEAVER OF FATE, once again will bring an end to the curses of this UNIVERSE! Let this universe meet the DOOMED UNIVERSE OF SCARBOROUGH! HAHAHA!"

My eyes begin to tear up as I chuckle evilly. I persisted in this madness until the melding was complete. I'm perfectly aware that the agimat will wear out in a short while.

"FINALY I WILL EXECUTE MY FINAL ACT!"

As the effect of the journal faded, lightning struck me in the space of a split second, draining my power away and causing a minute-long lightning strike. My skin begins to actually burn. The oil from the four-eyed coconut began to evaporate. My hair began to smoke. The manor was completely demolished, unable to withstand the exposure of light. The portal that connects universes was sealed when the wooden key turned to dust.

"Ha! Ha! Ha! It worked out that way. My body, however, could not take even a minute of exposure. Despite the fact that I live. There's no way I'll be around for very long. My body is burned in half."

"Brother Leo! Leoooooo!" Reo and Usman shouted.

Hi people! Feel free to correct my grammar, I'm also terrible in creative writing, I suggest criticizing my work! It is a working progress draft. I will remove this outline draft when its done. I'll improve the characters during it's removal. Hope you'll find draft novel enjoyable.
