Meeting in Person

Two days go by in the blink of an eye, and throughout these two days, Lester was solely focusing on understanding the memories within his mind. He was slowly understanding the various languages spoken by these alien races. There were also certain stories that made his heart tremble. Stories about beings who were born with heaven-defying power, capable of destroying galaxies. Lester couldn't tell if these were myths or real, however, the young Black Fiend was far from that power, as far as the memories Lester possessed were concerned.

In these two days, Lester has also been busy preparing some space for Patrick who should be arriving at any moment. Patrick coming was possibly the best decision for both of them as Patrick would no longer be pressured by the ACA and Lester could have someone to share pointers with, as well as someone he could trust.

Sitting on the ground on top of a patterned carpet, Lester practiced his World Qi manipulation per usual. His body was sweating profusely as although controlling these small cloudlike entities looked easy, it was quite straining both mentally and physically.

Opening his eyes and releasing a breath his chest which was initially out and filled with air began to descend into its natural position. Lester slowly stood up as he grabbed a towel nearby. Leser then began walking towards the exit as he felt like he had just remembered something extremely important. As he approaches the door, his steps become quicker and quicker.

As he exits his humble cabin, he walks to the side of it with his face turning ugly. He had been so focused on cultivation and his newly gained memories, that he completely forgot about the plants that he had been taking care of. From vegetables to fruits a good amount of them had died. Lester facepalmed in disappointment as he stood above the patches of different colored green in front of him.

Lester looked around as he sighed. He had been here for a long time and a lot of these plants have been here since he moved into this humble abode of his. Taking care of these plants and growing his own stuff made him feel accomplished in many ways, in addition, his parents were the ones who taught him how to take care of these plants. His parents have always been a sour topic for him, however, as he looked around, he couldn't help but appreciate all that they have done and left for him. This plot of land was something he had no clue how they pulled off. It was such a calm, beautiful piece of land, perfect for cultivation.

Although the wooden cabin looked humble, it was surprisingly spacious within, in addition, next to the cabin there was a smaller shed with tools and other accessories. Lester began to move towards the cabin as he was prepared to mend his garden once more, however, a loud honking noise came from the distance.

Lester turned around but couldn't quite see anything. There were a good amount of trees around his cabin, and the dirt road that led to his property was not great either. As the sound got closer, dust was kicking up as the car became visible.

From the backside window came a light wave and Lester smiled, as he understood Patrick had arrived.

The car came to a stop as a burly short man walked out from the back, as he was assisted by the driver in taking out his luggage. As the driver smiled and received his money, he proceeded to enter the car and drive away.

Lester who was walking towards Patrick at this moment had a smile on his face, as he was prepared to greet him.

Patrick turned around revealing a slight smile as well. He was a head shorter than Lester but much more build than him. He was wearing a polo shirt with shorts as well as some sandals, giving away the biggest tourist look possible. The only thing missing was the straw hat to cover his bald head and a camera around his neck.

"It took way too long to get here! Who picked this place to build a home? Odd!" Patrick said as he went in to hug Lester.

"Hah! What do you know? My parents picked this place specifically due to the fact it's so isolated. It's truly a great place for tranquility…" Lester said as he hugged Patrick back, "Welcome to my place!"

After exchanging pleasantries, both men took luggage into the cabin, as Patrick was going to get acclimated.

Patrick sat down in the living room as Lester went into his room to retrieve something. Patrick was unable to hide the excitement on his face as his leg was moving nonstop.

Lester comes back with water and a book in his hand. He placed the water next to Patrick and sat beside him. Patrick's eyes are glued to the yellowish book as his hands are trembling. He slowly looks up towards Lester and something catches his eyes which takes him out of his daydream.

"What is that on your forehead?" Patrick looked at Lester who embarrassingly responded," It's part of my cultivation technique… It's quite odd…"

Although Lester trusted Patrick, some things were better kept hidden. Not everyone could handle the truth, and Lester was sure to be careful with the amount of information he possessed within his mind.

Patrick looked back towards the book. Noticing this, Lester smiled and handed it to him. As Patrick held it on his hand it shook slightly, as he whispered the title of the book softly.

"One day I will repay you for this…" Patrick murmured.

Lester shook his head replying, "You have already done enough! If it weren't for you my journey into this cultivation world would not have begun. I did not have confidence before.

As Patrick scrolled through he became even more surprised as he was not expecting there to be an actual complete cultivation book. He now understood why Lester asked him to reject the ACA. A complete cultivation book would cause countries to go to war.

Seeing Patrick in awe, Lester smiled and spoke, "Get yourself accommodated and read through the book. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I will be in my room practicing for the time being. There is an air mattress over there, get comfortable."

He was glad Patrick had finally arrived, as he was unsure of how long his cultivation would take, therefore, he waited. Now, he could finally train and become stronger.
