"Let's see 1316 voum buying the handgun puts me at 397 voum but then I'll have to give him the profit from what we agreed on upon"Shin said while stroking his chin and walking with Ian through the streets filled with garbage and rats that lived in the trash

"No matter how you do it looks like you lose either way" Ian said bringing shin back to reality

"Yeah your right but having no money after I have the gun makes the gun useless where am I gonna find the money for bullets"

"How about you join me on a few odd jobs I'm older so it's only right for me to help you"Ian said jokingly

"Hey when did you decide your older than me I'll have you know I'm 15 years old"shin said confidently

"Ha Looks like I win I'm 16"Ian said while puffing out his chest

"Well I guess your a little taller than me" shin said while inspecting Ian's build

"Speaking of which what's your ability"Ian said thinking back to when he saw him hit the beast with a unknown force

"Oh I can use the wind in the air to a degree it's not exactly as amazing as it sounds though"

"But still being able to use at all sounds pretty powerful if only I got as lucky as you in life"

"Lucky this is the first time I've been called that before"Ian looked down with a face deep in thought

"So what about you what kind of ability do you have"

"My reflexes are slightly enhanced that's all if I had to give you an estimate I would say a normal human has a 5 for reflexes and I have a 7 meanwhile your averaged experienced hunter probably is at the same level as me"shin said while sighing deeply

"Damm that's just depressing but in this world money is king so we just need to make money to make up for the gap in abilities"

"Yeah your right someone with a decent combat ability vs someone with a useless non combat with a augmented suit if the two of them fight the answers clear who's going to win"shin said while looking up realizing that with money even if his ability isn't strong he can still beat ability users that have stronger abilities than him

"Yeah the augmented suit user wins 11 times out of 10 no contest"Ian said confidently as if it were a no brainer

They now had made it to the stolen weapon vendor the owners name or at least what they call him is Haze

"Boys I see your back"haze said while tightening up his goggles

"I've got the money and the interest" shin said while reluctantly pulling out multiple small black chips from his pocket

Hazes eyes twinkled a little seeing that he there was more voum than the original price

"Well then the guns yours and thanks for paying me nicely and you boy what do you want are you looking to buy some weapons"Ian seeing how his deal went down with haze decided that it's best to stay away from him like Lang did

"No I don't think I will I ain't got enough money right now to be spending it on a new weapon when I've got one already"he pointed to the small pistol to his side that looked like it had seen better days

"That garbage we'll suit yourself"he said while shrugging

"Shin picked up his pistol" as something was flung over to him and he caught it He looked at the object to find out it was a small box filled with rounds for a mk2 handgun

"What's this I don't have enough money for something like this you practically already robbed me for everything I got"shin looked at haze as his eyebrows began to furrow

"I'm giving them to you"haze said while turning around putting the weapons back that he had laid out earlier he seemed disappointed as he put them back because he was hoping the other boy would buy something

"What you're giving them to me?"shin said as he slightly raised his voice and the confusion was visible on his face

"Well I'm not just giving them to you for free think about it as an investment your a hunter if I give you some ammo maybe you'll buy more from my shop"haze said while putting up the last of the weapons away

"Now get out your not buying anything are you"

"Thanks"shin said as he walked out with Ian

"I hope you know now that you've got some valuables on you can't just sleep out in the open you know"

"Damm your right you don't know of any free safe spots I could use?"shin said while hoping to get the answer he wanted but he didn't really expect much

"Yeah I've got a place you've just got to be careful to not get caught"

"Everything good always comes with some cons"shin said while sighing

"Hey come on get up before they come"shin was grabbing at the cracks in the building trying to get a grip to climb up the side of it He felt a boost on his feet as he quickly began to soar up the wall while Ian pushed his feet up

I made it up while my fingers slightly bled from scarping up against the wall

"Damm that was close" Ian said as he got up on top of the roof right as a few footsteps were heard down below in the alleyway they waited a few minutes until they began to move and talk

Shin looked around at the place noticing the glass room As Ian walked inside just as it began to rain shin quickly followed him in

"guess we got lucky glad we got in before the rain hit"Ian said before shutting the door and laying against the glass wall which you could no longer see out from with the rain showering down on it

Shin also layed down his body felt like he hadn't been living as a human the past few days even more so than before he was completely exhausted and almost went to sleep immediately as his body hit the ground

"Man life's hard sometimes I just want to give up"after a minute of silence ian looked over at shin to find out he was asleep

"Well I was thinking of doing the same anyway"
