It's odd watching this side of Max, the nerdy, intellectual side of him. I'd only ever seen glimpses back when we met, he had interest in some things then but I always thought that ultimately he'd be the strict musclehead weapon of humanity against the otherworlders.

He's a lot more than that, I suppose anyone would be with a life span as long as ours…his. He's been on about the pile of ash remains left over in the box, the apple gone without a trace.
