Relic of a forgotten hero

Reinard's vision darkened as the poison slowly drained his health, he tried all he could dodging and struggling to fight back, but most of his attacks were futile, as he lost strength his attacks became more and more blunt and the Soldier Hornetaur treated him like a playtoy. It would sit amd wait for Rein to stagger towards him then slap him away with one of its six legs, unlike the small and big hornetaur, the Soldier Hornetaur could stand on only two legs and was very tall, it was as tall as Reinard and even Reinard was quite tall himself.

Reinard fell to one knee, the Soldier Hornetaur looked at him and turned its back, heading back towards the dungeon as he faded into the darkness Rein supported himself with the white dragon sword.

'is it the end for me?...I was finally starting to enjoy life... Where did I miss it'

Rein lowered his second knee and was now kneeling on both knees the white dragon sword fell to the ground and made a loud clanging sound which awakened the hornetaurs around, and they began to dash at Rein.

Rein looked at the swarm if green insects dashing at him. Just then he thought, 'like hell I'll accept this... I really can't let it end this way... I can't Rein picked up his sword and used it as support to get up, he stood up but barely was there any strength left in his leg, he smirked 'this is why I always keep stats point for times like this'

"damnit that's not even much, but at least I feel a little bit okay now" Rein gripped the white dragon sword and dashed at the small hornetaurs slashing them as he entered the swarm. But the experience gained dropped drastically that he found it hard to level up. It was a balance that was necessary to keep players at check, Rein had a very strong weapon at his disposal and after continuously hunting the same monster that should be impossible for him to hunt in the first place the gods had to drop the exp gain because if he growth was fast combined with the weapon he had, he was likely to get to a point they would have to interfere in order to put him down. They put a lot of work into making the players powerful and watching them survive and have effect on a world that is new to them but they also had plans for any human that would try to reach them. No doubt they considered the humans trash but they also were aware of their potentials so they put up barriers that will prevent players from being as strong as gods, and even if there ever exist a player like that. The system god was a standby plan to rip the person off those powers.

Rein began to struggle once again.

Rein fell to the floor as he got hit by one of the hornetaurs, he's hands were still holding the sword tight but he consciousness was drifting away.

"I must.... must... survive"

His eyes blinked slowly as he was too weak to even keep them open.

''who is disturbing my slumber?''

A voice rang out from his front, Rein could not comprehend who was talking as no one was around him but swarm of Hornetaurs surrounding him and slowly checking to see if he's dead, Hornetaurs might bite but they are not cannibals, they would wait until their prey was dead and then turn around.

''boy, are you the one that disturbed me ? fine i can tell you are i desperate situation i will help''

Rein confirmed it now, the white dragon sword kept vibrating as that thick voice rang everywhere.

Students were going on with their training and daily activities when suddenly...

The grounds of the whole academy shook for a second and not only that both the vice principal and principal flew out of their office like a catapult, a speed very few instructors and only two could follow.

Almost every student in the academy felt it, that presence that felt like a mountain was above them.

The Vice principal looked at the Principal, "you felt it too"

"It's gone."

"of course it is my lord but we still have to find how it was able to come back, it wasn't like the original but it was huge"

The principal stared at the forest, he turned back. "I don't care, take care of it" He flew away.

"hmm as cold hearted as ever... Just how did he wake up"

The old man went further into the forest.

<The cave>

Rein had not even waved his hand, the presence that fell on the dungeon instantly the whole dungeon began to fall out of place and crumble, the Hornetaurs died all at once and the next swarm of Hornetaurs that came out was the soldiers, hundreds of them. Rein dashed through them at an horrifying speed, he was not even visible and just vanished into thin air, the Soldier Hornetaurs exploded and their blood splashed everywhere.

He broke into the main dungeon room and landed on the floor destroying the whole room and leaving it in ruins. The queen wailed out and dashed at him, he just stood there and stabbed the Hornetaur Queen on its head, he flew over it and tore it whole body into two.

''human, you cannot take anymore of my power...this is the best Ican do...I...w...ill now...'' The voice faded away as it seemed to have fallen asleep.
