The world apart

Summer Raye Levigne, a 26-year-old unemployed individual, is left homeless and struggling to pay her bills. She pleads with her landlady for an extra month to pay off her debts but is denied. She struggles to find a job and finds herself in a car, driven through the dark and slippery road to the city. As she drives, she witnesses a human-like object moving in the middle of the road. Her car tripped and rolled, causing her to fall to the ground. A woman offers to stay with her, but she panics and calls 911. She wakes up in an unfamiliar room with a tube pinned to her wrist and feels pain. The woman tells her that Summer is at the hospital and that she found her in the woods with her car. She explains that there is no one there, but Summer is confused by the situation. She asks why there is no snow anymore, as it is Christmas. The woman reveals that she and Summer had decided to buy a house and live together three years ago in the Philippines, and the Philippines is a tropical country and it doesn't snow. Gabrielle is a 25-year-old woman who migrated with her younger Spanish stepsister to the small city of Tacloban in the Philippines with their grandparents. After her mother and her stepfather were killed at their home in Spain when she was still in high school, she and her stepsister were the only survivors. She came home from school as a graduating high school student. She often got home late, never thinking she'd come home to such a devastating tragedy. The loss of her parents left Gabrielle and her stepsister feeling lost and alone, prompting their grandparents to make the difficult decision to move to Tacloban for a fresh start. Despite the challenges they faced, Gabrielle remained determined to pursue her dreams and create a better future for herself and her stepsister. But a few years later, she and her stepsister had to live again on their own when their grandparents passed. But at the time, she already had a stable job and was able to provide for her little sister, who is now in high school. Gabrielle's resilience and determination continued to shine as she took on the responsibility of being the sole provider for her stepsister. With her stable job, she ensured that her stepsister had access to quality education and a nurturing environment, allowing her to thrive academically and personally. Despite the hardships they faced, Gabrielle's unwavering love and dedication towards her stepsister became the foundation for their new chapter in life. But one extra ordinary night while driving home, Gabrielle experienced an extra ordinary phenomenon as the road suddenly became covered in snow and a fast-moving car suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The car was heading straight towards Gabrielle's, causing her heart to race with fear. She was immobilized and just accepted her fate of being hit by the car, but the car's escape caused it to stumble and fly over her head. She saw how the driver got thrown out of the car as it kept rolling on the road. Gabrielle's heart pounded in her chest as she watched the car crash unfold before her eyes. With adrenaline coursing through her veins, she quickly dialed emergency services and rushed to check on the driver, hoping they were okay. But suddenly a force pulled the driver onto the void and disappeared, leaving Gabrielle shocked and dumbfounded on the middle of the road.

Brielle's P. O. V.

"Hey, theif! Come back here!" Shouted the man, who was the owner of the antique shop.

''Stop! " shouted the policeman he called along the way.

I get inserted into a crowd of people crossing the road.

"Give me back that compass, you idiot," says the owner.

"I'm sorry, but I can't do that, old man," I shouted back.

He looked so pissed now as he gritted his teeth with a red face and tried to catch me.

No, I won't give this back to him.

I need this more than he does.

My life depends on this compass.

This may lead me back home to my world.

Three years have passed since the accidents, and I'm still not able to get back.

It seems like I'm stuck in a world where 'God knows ever existed.'

I'm so worried about my sister.

She might think I'm dead now.

It took me three months to realize that I wasn't dreaming.

That I am in another world or another dimension.

It felt like I was on another earth, but different but the same.

I know it's confusing, but what I meant was that I'm on earth itself, but different.

The geographic map, the continents, the galaxy, and the weather are all the same.

Except for the economic and political status, the names of the countries, and the currencies,

And a lot more differences.

On the map, it looks similar to my world, but when you get there, it's different.

Like, for example, the Philippines, since I came from that country, I did every bit of research to look for that country on the map.

Until I found it, and it's called Maharlia. The Kingdom of Maharashtra

And it's the center of progress in Asia, or the United Kingdom of Marharlia.

See, it's shocking.

Maharlia is a royal family that owns almost half of the world.

They were the richest family in this world, and no one bothers to get in their way.

While the second richest country in the world is where I am now, which we'll discuss sometime, people won't stop pestering me.

A gunshot was heard.

"Last warning. STOP!" the police said with a really pissed face and looking tired.

We started to get attention from everyone around, and they were looking at my demeanor.

"Oh, sh*t, I muttered when I recognized a few faces that were looking my way.

It's Esteban's group.

And they are bad news for me.

These people think I'm planning to steal their territory or something.

Not knowing I'm having my own agendas in doing those things they regularly do for a living as a thief.

"Breille, how has it been?" says Esteban, coming my way.

"Did you forget, or if I ever saw you again, I'd kill you right away?" HE said with a smirk.

I slowly move my feet backward.

And started looking around for my way out.

And not far enough, I saw a stairs going down to a train station.

And the go signal was on again, and people started crossing the road, and I inserted myself with those people again and started running to the stairs.

I managed to get down and lost the antique old man and the pissed officer.

Nearing the station, I saw a woman insert a ticket while talking to some guy, and I managed to get in before her at the barricade.

Hey," I heard a male voice say, but it's too late for them to call me.

But before I manage to get on the train,

"brielle" Esteban's voice.

I know I'm going to regret it later, but I turned around and saw Esteban in front of me pointing a gun towards me.

''Binggo," I heard him say before I shut my eyes.

A gunshot was heard.

And then suddenly somebody dragged me and shoved me into the train, and I was lying on the floor.

God, that hurts! I hissed while arching my back.

God, everything hurts, I muttered.

"I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" said a male voice.

A pair of feet get in front of me and kneel.

I am now looking at a pair of blue eyes.

Now when did I see those kind of deep blue eyes?

"I'm fine, thanks for your concern," I said with no emotion.

Not looking directly at him.

"A-ah, you're welcome?" he said, confused.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He said, trying to help me.

"Why did you do that?" I ask straight in what he's up to.

I know what happened earlier was not an accident.

He was taken aback by my action.

''Believe me, I'm not a bad guy. I was just passing by. And help you. I'm meant to just watch, but... I can't." He's ranting.

''Okay, for now, I believe you, but I don't have time to hang out with you because I have important things to do. So, I thank you, but I have to go, "I said to him with honesty.''

''You don't understand. I-im..''

''I've really got to go. "I stopped him from saying more things.

I don't have time for this. I know what he was trying to do, but I can't let those things happen in this world.

I can't have any relationships or deep connections in this world; it will complicate things more.

''Can I at least know your name? I hear him plead.

The train stopped, and I was about to get out.

I turn around and look at him one last time.

"Brielle is the name,'' I said with a smile and wink.

' I can't believe I did that. 'I said to myself, smiling.

"Okay, Brielle, I'll remember your name till my next life, he said, almost whispering.

God, he's a dork, I whispered to myself.

And I got out of the train and was welcomed by a knife in my chest.

And suddenly, it's hard to breathe, and my sight is getting blurry.

I saw the shadow of the person who stabbed me just now getting away.

It's happening again.

Me dying, and then in a minute or two I'll be fine again.

Yes, you're right; I've died several times in this world but managed to live in a very weird way.

Like an immortal.

But maybe it's because I don't exist in this world.

And you cannot kill or end a thing that doesn't exist.

And finally, I feel like shutting down.
