Boyfriend

The convoy had now returned to the city of Sahba.

The city's denizens cheered as the long line of vehicles traveled through the streets of Sabha with over a dozen prisoners in tow.

People also shouted obscenities at the prisoners and pelted them with rocks and rotten fruits. They were evidently tired of living in fear every time they left the city.

Draco's vehicle eventually arrived in Saalim's courtyard, and it pulled to a stop in front of his residence.

He carried his chest of treasure into the residence and set it down on the large wooden table in the main room.

Several scientists were sitting on the table discussing random things, and when they saw the large chest of shiny treasure smack down on the table they were shocked.

After all, Draco had left in the morning and came back a few hours later with an unbelievable amount of riches.

Draco called out to everyone in the residence and waited for the group to gather.

Once he saw everyone was present, he said, "I've had a successful journey with the governor of the city. He has given me payment for my services, so you're all in luck."

Draco began to take handfuls of gold coins and placed them on the table. He then divided the gold into twelve piles that had ten pieces each.

Seeing what Draco was doing, everyone at the table looked at Draco with expectant eyes. They were all moved by Draco's generosity.

"I will be issuing you all your first pay-check. There will be more to come, but this is to ensure your loyalty and cooperation moving forward." Draco said with a magnanimous smile.

He slid a pile of gold coins to everyone seated, and handed the soldiers standing around the table their share.

He also took out a golden circlet from the pile that looked to be an artifact of some sort. Draco handed this circlet to Snow, who took it with tears building up in her eyes.

'So generous! I think I'm falling in love..' Snow thought, smiling to herself as she looked at the valuable treasure in her hands.

"A warning. I am a very generous leader, but if any of you touch what you are not supposed to… your lives will end gruesomely." Draco suddenly said, his face turning serious.

Draco's aura turned dangerous as he said this, and although most of the people in the room were not powered, they all felt the oppressive pressure.

Everyone felt shivers down their spines as they nodded repeatedly, fear in their eyes.

The only person seemingly unaffected was Snow, who was looking at Draco with puppy dog eyes.

Draco abruptly laughed, breaking the pressure in the room.

"No need to be so serious. I'm sure none of you would be so foolish." he said, picking the chest of treasure up from the table and turning to leave.

As Draco left everyone looked at each other with a cold sweat running down their backs, 'Wasn't he the one who ruined the mood?!' they all thought to themselves.

Draco paid them no mind as he carried the chest into his room.

He kicked the door open and placed the chest on his bed, and then closed the door behind him.

Draco took this time to properly sort through the treasure, but there was so much it would take him ages to count up everything.

By the time he was done the sun had already set above the residence, and Draco's brain was hurting from all of the counting.

He had counted up over ten thousand gold coins, and another four thousand silver ones. His brain was mush by the end of it though, so he assumed his count was off by a good bit.

There were over a hundred different gems that Draco couldn't identify, and miscellaneous gold jewelry.

This was not even to mention the artifacts he had acquired!

Draco counted three swords that emanated a distinct aura, a pair of gloves, and a strange silver necklace that was icy cold to the touch.

This wasn't even counting the golden circlet he had given Snow earlier.

Draco planned to take these artifacts somewhere to be properly identified and evaluated, but that was a plan for a different day.

As Draco sat on his bed among his piles of treasure, he thought that escaping from the Khalid Dynasty was the best decision he had ever made.

While Draco was lost in thought, someone had started knocking on his door.

He had a hunch of who it was based on the way the person was knocking, and when he opened the door his suspicions were confirmed.

Seeing Snow standing outside of his door, he greeted them with a smile.

However, as soon as Snow saw Draco she ran forward and embraced him in a tight hug.

Snow's arms were as hard as steel, and after just a few seconds Draco had to pull himself away.

'Her hugs feel like I'm being crushed in a vice grip.' Draco thought with a smirk, closing the door behind her.

"Draco, I really missed you." Snow said, even though he had seen her just a few hours ago.

Draco had a wry smile on his face, "I missed you too.." he replied, not knowing what else to say.

Snow beamed when she heard this, and Draco was able to see her beauty for what it was.

She had the face of a supermodel, and her innocent look made you want to coddle her and ask how her day was going.

Draco did just that, "So, how was your day Snow?" he asked.

Snow laughed lightly, "It was good at first, but I was worried about you. Once you came back safely I was relieved."

Draco didn't realize Snow was so concerned about him, but he was touched.

"I'm too strong to die here." Draco laughed.

Snow shook her head, "But life is never guaranteed, and I realized that today. Draco, I don't want to lose you before I even get a chance.. to tell you how I really feel."

Draco didn't understand, "What do you mean?" he asked.

Snow suddenly blushed, and Draco saw her shuffling on her feet.

"W-well. I wanted to ask.. Um, Draco. Can you be my boyfriend?" she asked.

Draco was so shocked he almost choked, "B-boyfriend?!"

Seeing the expectant look in Snow's pretty white eyes, Draco realized that she was serious.

"Snow! We barely know each other!" he exclaimed, wondering where this was coming from.

Snow's eyes turned sad when she heard that, "I don't need to know you any better. I already know that I love you." she said, her voice a whisper.

Seeing Snow's puppy dog eyes, Draco felt a sharp pang in his heart.

Draco never expected to get into a relationship anytime soon, and even now he still thought about Amira.

However, he would be lying to himself if he said he didn't feel an attraction to Snow.

Draco eventually patted Snow on her white hair, "Sure, I can be your boyfriend." he said with a chuckle.

He didn't know the first thing about being a boyfriend, but he could tell that he would break Snow's heart if he said no.

Draco didn't even know why he cared so much, but he did know that he didn't want to leave this beautiful girl heartbroken.

Snow screamed with elation and jumped into Draco's arms, "YES! Yaaay!!" she yelled, showering Draco's face with little kisses.

Draco laughed as he felt Snow's touches, for it kind of tickled.

He pulled Snow away from him and met her lips with his own.

Draco concluded that her lips were surprisingly soft for someone with skin as hard as metal.

They kissed for nearly twenty seconds, and as their kiss continued it got increasingly more heated.

Their tongues intertwined, and Draco pushed Snow against his bedroom's wall in his passion.

When they separated a thin line of saliva connected their lips, and it broke when Snow began to push Draco towards the bed.

Draco landed on the bed with the sound of coins clinking beneath him.

Snow then climbed atop him, sending coins clattering onto the floor.

"Let me reward you, Draco. Isn't this what girlfriends do?" Snow said seductively, loosening her robes.
