The world’s End: Peace?

The story continues with Yuri and Noah slowly awakening from their slumber. They didn't sleep much, having spent most of the night chatting about their past lives. Stretching and yawning, they begin to prepare for the day.

"It's been a while since I've slept knowing I'd be safe," Yuri comments, a small smile on her lips.

Noah chuckles. "You put too much faith in me."

They both agree that the temperature is steadily decreasing, and they need to find a warmer building. As a gesture of appreciation for the deer, they decide to take him with them. Yuri names him "Kin."

After a while, they find a mansion in good condition. Cautiously, they enter and start looking around. They discover a lot of gas containers, which could be dangerous, but also notice that the mansion, despite its modern appearance, seems to run on gas. Yuri decides to test the electricity and, to their surprise, the heaters roar to life, warming the space.

"It's a miracle," Yuri exclaims. "With this much gas, we won't need to worry about electricity for the rest of our lives!"

Noah smiles, seeing her joy. "Yeah, we should be good now, right?" He then adds, "What am I saying, looking at you I already have my answer."

Yuri giggles, and they settle into their new home. Two months pass in the mansion, which keeps them warm and safe. Noah improves his hunting skills, but the landscape continues to fill with snow, and new threats appear: lions, tigers, and wolves from a nearby zoo begin to roam the area.

Noah decides to discuss this development with Yuri, the brains of their duo. He finds her drinking hot water in the mansion's kitchen.

"Can I ask for advice?" he begins.

Yuri looks up, calm and attentive. "Sure, what is it?"

Noah explains the situation and expresses his concerns about the dangerous animals. Yuri listens intently, then formulates a plan.

"Have you used a gun before?" she asks, surprising him.

Noah nods. "Yes, I have."

Yuri continues, "I found weaponry in the basement of this mansion but never mentioned it because there was no ammo. However, I recently found gunpowder. I could try creating bullets for you."

Noah nods appreciatively. "That's a genius idea."

With a new plan in place, they both feel a renewed sense of purpose. Yuri begins experimenting with creating bullets, while Noah starts to practice shooting. Together, they prepare to face the new challenges of their world, their bond stronger than ever as they navigate the uncertainties of their post-apocalyptic existence.
