The world’s End: life or death?

rather on having fun and exploring. He has caught multiple animals for food and found shelter without much difficulty, but one thing remains on his mind: "Where is Yuri?" Despite his hunting and survival efforts, he hasn't found any signs of Yuri and is beginning to get frustrated and sad. His current goal is to not lose his last friend in this world, so he decides to start his search anew.

Noah approaches the remnants of the store they once lived in, now reduced to scraps. He thinks to himself, "It hasn't been that long, yet I still feel nostalgic looking here." He then heads in the direction where he last saw Yuri being pulled by the waves. He continues walking this path and eventually comes across bloodstains. He isn't sure whether it's Yuri's blood or if there is a predator nearby. He continues venturing forth. It's now been a total of eleven days since they were split, and both have their own struggles.

Yuri is barely alive in her shelter, having been unable to find any food or hunt anything. She's now on her last legs and can't do anything besides breathe. Her only hope is that Noah finds her. As she looks outside, she sees the deer injured, bringing something in its mouth. Despite both being hungry, the deer, thinking of Yuri as its mother, went out and brought back another deer to her, even at the cost of injuring itself. Yuri laughs weakly, too frail to even cook the food but still tries her best to stand up.

On the other hand, Noah has been following the blood trail that seems endless. By now, he's walked up a mountain and down, finding more and more blood. He wonders, "What could've happened here?" After a while, he sees an injured deer carrying another deer in its mouth, which confuses him. "Did a deer commit cannibalism? Let's follow it and see," he mumbles to himself, beginning to follow it to its shelter.

About 30 minutes later, around 5 PM, he finally arrives and is horrified to see a weak and thin Yuri. He keeps his calm and continues to observe. "It seems the deer is helping her," he says to himself, followed by, "Alright, time to intervene." He begins to calmly walk to their shelter without any worries.
