3. Things that bark in the night.

No one knew of me attending the ball not that I will after all... I can think of something. Like get a illness that that will make me unable to go.

Because my home was closer to the woods I have less workers than any noble. Only five which did everything to maintain the house two who maintained the gardens, a chef and Odie with her daughter Yvette clean the house but are my friends.

Yvette is a few years older than me has three year old son who's father died before he was born. Yvette is very beautiful with long brown curly hair, round eyes which go well with her pale complexion, and George ,her son, took her curly hair ... Only the curly hair everything else was different the eyes, skin complexion and personal.

Because today is their free day, Odie is going to play bingo in the town sleeping over a friends place she decided to take Yvette with her and Yvette never goes anywhere without George so I am all alone.

 Because the gardeners live in the out side house.

With this freedom I decided to read a book by the fire. Wanting to be taken away from the gritty reality every now and then my eyes would stray and land on the Woods the rain pours but never to the woods. They loomed almost as if sneering at the rain... I shake my head at the idea. The electricity was off ever since the thunder started just a precaution we follow when we live this close to the woods.

I read the book till late at night...

I am woken by a barking. I groan seating up... Cracking my neck they was leaning awkwardly on the couch.

The barking is consistent I stand up and wobbly to the window.

I look along the ten feet fence we put to prevent people from entering the woods and spot a flash of something golden. Then I see its a dog I can't see it clearly but I can say it a golden retriever.

Suddenly crazy ideas swing on my mind: is it trapped? Is it a ploy to kidnap me?what if it has some dog disease?

Though my mind is think my body is already putting boots and a raincoat rummaging through the drawers for a flash light.

i am about to Sherlock the case of the barking dog.
