My Fair little mind, Still in sight

After the fiasco, he still pondered about the hidden blob in his Father's study room. He asked himself if the blob even actually waited for his Father to come home and meet him. Maybe not, maybe the creature did. It was a riddle he couldn't really solve just by guessing the meaning of it.

What compelled him the most was the number of questions he had in his mind. The one question occurring in his head right now is the very thought of the blob relating to his Father's past considering he never really got to know his childhood. His Father spends most of his time in the office all day, never having to take breaks, or Day-off to spend time with his family like any Father does. It would even take a miracle to try and ask him to ask him if he can come to dinner, which he would always respond with a 'yes if i can' and turning up late due to his workaholic nature.

He couldn't really think of anything useful to might add to the situation of the blob and his Father. Maybe he found the little guy on his journey to his everyday work? maybe not. He would've ignored those. Flopping his head on the dinner table in defeat, remembering that he just finished his breakfast half an hr ago as he buried his face into the wooden table, not even responding to the calls of his Auntie being slightly worried he can't hear her at all.

"Dear?" his Auntie called out with a worrying tone, "You alright dum dum?" to which Clay answered with a long stare that took a minute or so before he answered her with a question, "What was Father like before?"

His Auntie was quite shocked by his question, "What do you mean by that?"

"You know, What was he like when he was around my age?" he asked, remembering that his Auntie and his Father were twins.

His Auntie chuckled like she was mesmerizing the days of their youth as she said, "Well.. A lot of things happened during that time," all the while she sat adjacent to where he was sitting. She told him stories of them that he never knew his Father was capable of doing. From diving beyond the sea, going trick or treating, and going on a camping trip. His Auntie remembered one time when his Father and his Auntie went on a camping trip, his Father was being bullied by a couple of kids trying to take his food up until his Auntie swooped in, smacking one of the bullies with a flying pan they just bought that the whole group of them, sent them scattered around the woods. They laughed at the thought of it and continued her story.

During those memories, his Auntie remembered, it was that camping story he liked the most especially when his Auntie told him something off-putting that she vaguely remembered. "There was one time he went into the woods and went missing for a few days." her face worried recalling the memory. "Luckily he was found near a lake southeast of our campsite. When we got to him, he didn't say anything or do. Just looked up at the trees above and lightly smiled," She smirked, "To tell you the truth. He might've experienced the best summer he had in his entire life,"

She sighed, "That's the only time i saw him truly happy," as his Auntie ruffled his hair that made him smile for a bit.

Clay never knew about that camping trip his Auntie mentioned. Probably because he can never talk about it. "Did he..." he hesitated on asking the white and black blob he witnessed on his Father's studies. Shaking his head at the thought of it and just told his Auntie, "Nothing," while going upstairs only just by a hair of saying, "Thank you for telling me," smiling and headed to his destination. But before that, his Auntie out of the blue tugged his arm and forced Clay to hug her tightly as if he was going away telling him, "I'm Sorry about yesterday," Clay remembering that he was nagged by her.

He didn't really got mad or sad when she did that. It was more of a... 'shocked' term considering what happened that day. He reassured her by telling her, "It's okay. You were just worried for me," and Immediately got alarmed when the black and white blob appeared behind his Auntie all of a sudden. Widening his eyes as he rush behind her and immediately took the blob and head upstairs. "Bye Auntie! Gotta go, gonna do stuff!" he said while taking the stairs.

"oh, okay. Call me if you need anything!" his Auntie shouted. "sure, thank you Auntie!" as Clay shouted back and hid himself into his Father's studies with the white and black bob still hanging by a thread on his fingers, slipping away and jumping over the desk and into the swivel chair the blob lovingly cherished.

He dragged himself up to the chair of his Father, flopping down without a care that the blob got hurt or so. He just knew the creature wouldn't get hurt on something as sitting at his seat.

The blob in response, squeezed out of the seat and bounced into his lap. The blob was surprisingly light despite Clay's notions that he was heavy. And so they sit in a very monotone and quiet room. Silently resting himself as he picked up the blob with a question in mind;

"Why are you here?" the blob, flopping down into his face as the creature's response to him.
