Touring the pack lands

After lunch, Jellald brought me over some greenery park with a false lake and playground for pups.

I could see the pups running around playing tag and king of the hill. Some girls played on the swings or with elastic ropes. Their mothers not very far away keep a keen eye on them.

Before we had departed from Davy and Damien, Davy had told me I was allowed to roam a bit around. Of course, being an outsider also meant that all the pack members would eye me like I was out to eat their dinner. Which of course I wasn't but meh... Wolves... Sigh...

Feeling my mood was getting off I received a small jab to my side from Jellald that was grinning with a face that spoke. what-is-wrong-with-you type of look.

"Nothing wrong." No need to elaborate but I could see he wasn't buying it but wouldn't force the issue as well.

We stopped at the lake I could see to the bottom of it from the edge of the dock. While it was at least eight feet deep at the end of the five-meter-long dock.

My focus was captured by the colourful fishes that lazily swam along the side of it. Hiding in its shadow.

Walking off the deck I bit my lips the urge to just jump into the clear waters and play with the fishes was strong. I would also look at the pups that ran around giggling and laughing.

I wanted to join them so badly. I love pups and kits, but I was pretty sure their mothers would take to aggression if I dared.

Damien must have seen my thoughts well it must have shown on my face pretty badly because he playfully nudged me on my arm.

"If you want to join them you could, no one would dare say a thing with me here." A smug smile plastered his lips as he spoke this as if it was only natural.

I was still hesitating, after all, I didn't want to get him into trouble, frowning lightly my expression doing a kaleidoscope, a myriad of expressions filled my face.

"Come let's shift we can run around, it will be more fun that way. "He said ruffling my hair now, totally treating me like some rowdy kid.

A smile finally tugged my lips.

"Fine let's do it then." We both headed to a nearby bush to change into our animal form.

My fox happily yipping inside my head it wanted to run, play in that pretty lake and just let loose.

I gathered my clothes in a bun with my shirt so it could be carried in my fox form later. I wasn't about to be streaking naked around a bunch of wolves...

Once changed I got out to meet that silver-gray wolf with mismatched eyes colour.

Compared to me the Gamma wolf was pretty big. But now he was not intimidating me at all. Knowing his goofball side eased my fox greatly.

We started to run around at first I followed him on his heels but soon I paced it and began a game of tag.

My size played much in my favour as I easily dodged him. Bolting off at the last second, moments before he would be able to touch me, well, he was only sometimes able to slightly touch the end of my tail furs.

While wolves are fast, they can't compare to fox's speeds. This is my advantage against them.

Running, jumping, yipping happily as we spent the afternoon as so.

"I really couldn't imagine the Gamma as a playful babysitter" A voice rang as two additional steps came in the vicinity. It was a big bad mister alpha with a thug-like-smile.

Both of us looked like deer caught in headlights. Frozen his ear inside my mouth as I had been tugging on it, while he had been sprawled on his back trying to grab a hold of me with his paw playfully.

Now both of us were embarrassed thankfully we had fur and my blush wouldn't show.

But, sadly for Damien, his link with the alpha and beta would give him away.

Both coughed and burst off laughing tears nearly forming in their eyes. The third in command was blushing like a teenage schoolgirl caught doing some nasties.

Suddenly getting up I fell on my back rolling like a ball of silver-white fur...

Now both Alpha Davy and Damien were sitting on the floor holding their stomach...

Sigh, there goes my self-esteem we thought in unison.
