Chapter 33: Cade Gets Summoned

Cade knew it was coming, but he’d hoped he could put it off until he knew Rose better. At least know she knew what she was dealing with. He was a wolf shifter and she knew it. He was giving her as much information as he could, but he parsed it out. He didn’t want her overwhelmed.

She might run and then he’d have to start again. She was his mate, but he would have to find someone else. Maybe that was a better plan, but he wasn’t going to pursue that line. Rose was his for now.

Flynn had delivered the news that morning. He’d said the words and now Cade stared at him. He hadn’t told him the events of last night, but he would. He trusted Flynn with his life.

“Tomorrow?” Cade said.

“Yes. Tomorrow. I tried to push it back, but they wanted to know how things were going right now.”
