chapter 6

Ren was confused. He was well aware something was going on with his leader and cardin but he couldn't do anything about it.

However, he heard a scream and rushed towards the noise...

and saw weiss with the sap in her hair.

But he also saw jaune fighting cardin.

Ren noticed weiss's irritation and concluded that her negative emotions along with the sap would draw a large amount of grimm.

So he moved over to the heiress and began to hide her emotions with his semblance.

"weiss. I'm currently hiding your emotions with my semblance but the grimm will still be drawn to you because of the sap. However, i want to speak to you and team RWBY after this."

"okay, I'll tell them. But right now, we need to focus." I looked to the ursa's surrounding us.

"agreed."

A few hours later in the stormy streets of vacuo, the newly transformed monsoon was carrying his new king to his safe house.

Monsoon had noticed how pale his King was and he knew why but that wasn't important at the moment.

Hans' body was covered in blood and some of it had even stained his hair. However, there was a small scar where he had been impaled by kommandants sword.

Nonetheless, monsoons main concern was getting the werewolf out of the rain.

Which he managed fairly quickly but hans günsche isn't someone who will stay down for long. Evident by the fact that he was already awake and trying to stand back up.

Monsoon helped his newly avowed King to stand but he looked around and didn't recognise where he was.

"where..." monsoon couldn't say anything but he showed hans something.

He took the captain to a room, his King looked to the weapons held in the room.

A staff made of robotic limbs

A pair of futuristic machetes with one having a much thicker handle that seemed to connect the two.

A sword in a sheath with a magazine attached to it.

And the last was an oversized chainsaw axe hybrid.

Hans glanced over the weapons, deducing that they belonged to the other members of desperado.

Monsoon presented 4 files each having a different face on them.

He picked up the first file that had a womans face on it with hair covering half her face.

'mistral. The cold French wind that blows in the rhone valley. As far as I'm aware, France doesn't exist here. Uses a staff made of robotic limbs that she can control to use like a whip or a spear. Died in an incident involving liquid nitrogen. Body is still preserved in a safe house in mantle.' He scanned over the file but the last part caught his eye.

'in mantle? A possible ally that I could make into... shadow soldiers. Yes, that sounds right. I feel wrong doing this... like the sturmbannführer.' The tall man went silent, a miserable frown made its way onto his face.

He moved onto the next file, one of a bald man with a cocky grin on his face.

'sundowner. A warmonger. Used a pair of dual machetes that could link into a singular scissor blade. Died in a bullhead explosion.' He noticed how brief the folder was but wasn't too bothered and grabbed the next one which had a man with a large forehead and blonde hair.

'khamsin, the desert storm. Piloted a mech that wields a large chainsaw axe. Killed by dehydration, body eaten by vultures. Brief, If monsoon made these, it seems like he really didn't care about them... his last words only reinforce this.' He grabbed the next folder of a man with a scar on his eye and shit eating grin.

'jetstream Sam or the minuano. Minuano? If I recall, it's the cool Brazilian wind. Uses a sword with a magazine built into it. A high frequency blade? Never heard of a sword like that. The magazine allows for the blade to be fired out of the sheath at high speed with enough force to launch a person. A skilled swordsman. Died of malaria and was cremated.' Hans looked over the lengthy file.

'from what I can see, this weapon is very interesting. Though, they all are.' Ringing started and he reached into his pocket. It was his scroll and ozpin was calling.

"hello Mr günsche, is it done?" Hans looked to monsoon.

"it's... done..." noises started to blare through the call from ozpins side.

"what?! Another humanoid grimm! Mr günsche please get back as fast as you can!" Monsoon grabbed the staff, Sam's sword and forced the massive axe into hans shadow with great difficulty. Hans grabbed sundowners machetes and sprinted back to where the bullhead had dropped him off. Monsoon also grabbed a samurai like mask and dropped it into hans shadow.

A humanoid grimm

Until a few days ago, no one even knew that they existed.

Then, one attacked Mr günsche who barely beat it.

And now, another has appeared.

This one is taller than the last but wields a large shield with a heavy axe. The shield was a pure white as was the axe.

It wore thick bone armor that covered its entire body except for its beastial face.

Yang leapt towards the monster and punched it's shield as hard as she could, but nothing.

Not even a crack.

The grimm swung it's axe into yang, launching my sister away and into a tree.

"Yang!" The creature leapt towards me with its axe raised high, I felt something wrap around my stomach before I was pulled away as its axe smashes into the ground.

"Blake! Covering fire!" Bullets began to bounce off the shield as it stood stationary.

"Yang! Are you okay!" The sounds of bullets whistling through the air dampened my hearing but my sister yelled back.

"not really!" I noticed she was stood near the treeline and came up with an idea.

"weiss! Distract it!" A blast of fire dust hit the shield bearer in the back and staggered it.

"can do!" I pulled Blake over to Yang.

"right, I've got an idea. Blake, I need you to wrap the gambol shroud around its shield arm, then, yang uses her semblance to pull its arm back allowing me to shoot it in the face through one of weiss's glyphs." Yang and Blake nodded, we then looked at the creatures back.

"weiss! Lead it to your left!" We noticed the creature turning to its right and I used my semblance to arrive next to weiss.

"weiss, yangs going to move its shield out of the way, I need a glyph once she does." I planted crescent rose into the ground with it aimed towards the humanoid grimm. A white circular glyph appeared in front of the barrel.

Then, it's shield arm was yanked out of the way. I took the opportunity and fired relentlessly into its face.

I saw each bullet staggered the creature backwards until the last bullet made a horrifying tearing noise before falling to the ground.

Something began to pool out of the creature but I didn't know what it was.

"children! Leave now, I need to make sure there are no more humanoid grimm here!" We followed the headmasters orders but I noticed hans walking beside him.

"hans!" I tried to hug him but it was quite awkward due to the height difference, he froze up as I touched him, his eyes panicked for a second before calming again. I looked at his open coat and noticed the small scar in-between his abs, I traced my finger across it.

"this is new... when... when did you get hurt, hans?" Everyone stared at him, even ozpin.

"so even you couldn't defeat Monsoon without taking damage." Weiss was definitely the most shocked.

"you sent him after Monsoon!? The former atlas specialist! How moronic are you! I don't care if you're a headmaster, sending a single man after a former specialist is suicide!" Ozpin nodded with a solemn look on his face.

"I'm aware, but he's killed many huntsman. I needed to stop him somehow." Weiss was clearly still angry.

"it's fine... I... agreed... to it..." weiss looked to him in shock.

"he did. Now children, return to the school with glynda. Mr günsche and I have much to discuss." I pulled away and walked off while helping yang to walk.

"you killed him, didn't you?" I nodded slowly. "I see. Did you... make him into the same thing that humanoid grimm became?" I had monsoon rise from my shadow, sporting an identical colour scheme to kommandant.

"I see... Well, I wanted to examine this humanoid grimm, see exactly how they... work for lack of a better term." I began to sniff the air and ozpin noticed.

"is something wrong, Mr günsche?" I walked closer to the humanoid grimm, specifically the head.

"it... stinks... of... human blood..." ozpin looked to me in shock.

"human... blood... I-I see." I looked deeply into the grimms head.

"these are... human... brains..." I stated, all too familiar with the scent of blood and sight of damaged organs.

"I... I've heard enough. If you don't mind, I would like to observe the... process, of how you convert people." I nodded my head, as I needed to gain more information about this ability.

I stood tall in front of the corpse and braced myself.

Entstehen

My breathing heightened as the corpse was enveloped by its own shadow, my skin paled and I could barely stand straight.

Ozpin observed with a a confused look on his face.

"I see! I had suspicions that you were able to use magic but this confirms it! Though, the level of magic you possess is very low. Tell me, has there been repercussions every time you've done this?" I thought back to the two other times I had done it.

'the first time, I passed out and was pale. The second, I'm not too sure. I was already heavily injured by Monsoon but making him a shadow soldier seemed to be the nail in the coffin.' I nodded to ozpin.

"then my most likely assumption is that you have gained magic through unkown means. But since the amount you possess is very low, your life force is instead used. However, yours regenerates fairly quickly each time it is used." With all his rambling about such complex things, he was starting to remind me of the doctor.

"which leads me to believe that you, hans günsche, are not human." I froze for a second.

'he's a very smart man. I'll give him that.' I stabilised my breathing and stood tall. "Correct.... I'm a.... werewolf... though... I wasn't... lying... when I.... said... I woke... up... in the... forest..." He nodded.

"though, I've never heard of a werewolf. Care to explain what they are?" I pulled out my scroll as its far easier to type on that.

"a werewolf is a person with the ability to transform into a wolf, though, I can also turn to Mist. As far as I know, I'm in a completely different world. I believe this because, the last thing I remember before the forest is bleeding out on the floor of the city of london with a silver tooth lodged in my heart." The world blurred red again and I already knew what this meant by now.

"hello big brother! The topic of our lineage is always fun! After all, you were the second strongest werewolf! And our family was the most influential of all the families. But, you ruined all that when you killed us. Look at it this way, you let me die subconsciously because I was the only other ruler candidate." There was a sly grin on her face.

'shut... up. Soldiers don't show their feelings, they do as told. I was a good soldier'
