Chapter 29: 'Brazen Greed' (Seeking Chase Reading)

Inside a room in City Hall, Milton Cheney was flipping through an accounting manuscript in his hands.

Next to him stood a man explaining each income and expense item on the manuscript.

From start to end, Cheney read through it very seriously.

"Young Master, this is the complete income and expense report for the Golden Lion market over the last three months, all included in this manuscript," a chubby middle-aged man standing next to him explained obsequiously.

This middle-aged man was Terrence Liddell, who had been previously in charge of the Golden Lion Market.

"William, take a look."

Cheney handed the manuscript he was holding to William who stood behind him.

Cheney did not speak, and William silently flipped through the manuscript. After a while, he looked at Cheney and nodded slightly.

"Is it just for the last three months? Do you have the details from before?"

Cheney asked Terrence.
