Evelyn blinked in surprise. She was not prepared for Alpha Stephen's offer. She knew that she had greatly helped them, but she did not think she deserved for him to feel indebted to her. All she did was craft a few potions. "You do not need to do all this," she said.
"You do not understand what you have done here," he said. "You have not just healed their connection, you have healed their worries. You have no idea what it is like to have a part of you severed and to lose all hope that it will ever come back. You have truly saved them."
Evelyn nodded her head shyly. She knew what it was like to feel hopeless and she never wished it on anyone. "What can I do to help more?" She asked.
"Right now, you cannot do anything more than what you have done," he said. "I need to meet with Alpha Arthur. I hope they were able to handle their end of the plan. Take care, Evelyn," he said.
"We can help you," Penelope said once Alpha Stephen exited the medicinal wing.
