Small Nenneke intro, won't be much of story development. I will try to release 2 chapter tomorrow as well.

New Witchers arrived in the temple of Melitele, which is located in Ellander just outside the main city.

Melitele is a mother goddess worshipped in the Northern Kingdoms. The worship of Melitele is one of the oldest and most widespread religions. Original human cultures worshipped her, and as time passed, the worship spread to further lands and gained more followers.

Melitele is considered by her followers as a patroness of fertility and birth; the guardian of midwives.

But this place also served another purpose. In the Temple, people could learn how to use signs, however, one requires a strong will to learn. Usually, it is rare to see normal folks learn them, only a few were successful in the long history so far.

But Witchers were different. They have greater willpower and greater stamina. Without strong willpower, one can never become a Witcher. And willpower and stamina is one of the fundamental requirements for learning the art of signs.

Young Witchers arrived at the temple by themselves, without the old wolf backing them up. Vesemir made a decision that he will leave Kaer Morhen and went in search of a job in more peaceful kingdoms, which didn't take part in their extermination.

August had a lot in mind. He wanted to learn about signs, but at the same time, he wanted to learn magic. Facing strong mages would be one of the hardest trails he could face during his adventure.

Even if he would not be professional in the field of magic, knowing some principles and rules could be a piece of crucial information in real-life combat.

When they arrived, they were met by a beautiful woman in temple attires that covered most of the body. But her face was still there, and she looked gorgeous. Long beautiful hair paired with flawless skin.

A Group of boys got startled by her beauty at that moment. The woman smiled toward young Witchers and walked in their direction with a smile on her face.

When she was close enough and was about to speak, one to be faster than anyone was Lambert. With a deep bow, he introduced himself. "Greeting, beautiful lady. The name is Lambert. It is a pleasure to see someone like you!"

That brought a small smirk to the lady. She greeted everyone, "Welcome young Witchers, it is a pleasure of mine to see you here. My name is Nenneke. Please don't have your hopes high. I sacrificed my sexual pleasures to a goddess." With that, she showed an adorable smile that almost made Lambert cry.

She looked at the boys one by one before spotting Geralt and August. She walked to Geralt holding her hand out for a handshake. "Nenneke, a pleasure to know you"

Geralt shortly replied with a handshake, "Geralt"

She moved towards August and stood looking into his eyes for a minute before strongly hugging him. She stroked his back, like a caring mother trying to calm down her child.

August stood there in a stupor. He was not familiar with such things, and it was quite foreign to him. But at the same time, it didn't feel bad at all. Quite the opposite, it felt good.

He stood there unmoved until Nenneke let him go and looked in his eyes saying "Poor child, you suffered a lot"

August's eyebrows jumped as he was about to ask her a question.

But before he could do that, Nenneke held her finger to her lips, gesturing him to stay silent for now. With a sigh, August decided to speak with her when they were only two presents.

Before they could walk inside the temple, Nenneke saw a small wolf, who was following August. Pointing in his direction, she inquired, "And who might you be?"

August replied with a small, but sad smile displayed on his face, "Hans"

She stroked the wolf's head for a second before saying, "Unfortunately, we can not have animals in the temple, but I can bring him to the garden area where he could stay while you learn here."

August responded with a nod and took a small buddy in his arms. "Buddy, this pretty lady will bring you to the garden. Don't worry, I will visit you when I have time".

*Auf* Replied a small wolf, licking August's hand.

He passed Hans in the Nenneke's hands and followed behind. She showed them a room and was about to leave when August got curious and inquired, "Who are you in this temple?"

Nenneke turned around and replied with innocence "Oh I'm just Archpriestess" She turned around and left, leaving others a bit stunned.

Lambert muttered, "I was trying to hit on Archpriestess? Did I just sign a ticket to hell?"

Eskel smacked him on the head explaining, "Melitele is a goddess of fertility jerk, she does not prohibit this"

Lambert showed a proud grin and went inside the room, full of himself for some mysterious reason.

August, on the other side, decided to follow Nenneke and figure out the mystery. It was not hard to find her, since her odour was still there, and he could easily track her that way.

After a few minutes of walking, he reached the garden where Nenneke was playing with Hans.

August walked closer and sat next to her, asking, "How did you figure this out?"

Nenneke turned towards August, asking, "Do you know that the hearts of people have a lot of answers?"

August looked at her suspiciously, asking, "What do you mean by hearts have a lot of answers?"

Nenneke apologized, "Ah, sorry, I always forget that Witchers know no such a thing. But all I want to say, there are people who could tell if one suffered the most just by looking at the eyes of another."

August frowned, confirming, "And you are the exact person?"

In response, Nenneke just smiled, giving no specific answer.

August decided to ask, "What did you see?"

She once again looked right into his eyes and before long she replied, "You suffered a lot, you are missing something in your life and that is bothering you a lot. Tell me why you have so much hate towards other living beings?"

All Nenneke received as a response was a denial, "I do not hate other living beings"

Nenneke confronted August "Believe me I won't be sharing anything of your personality with others, I want to find an answer myself"

Through a heavy sigh, he gave a brief explanation "I hate no normal folks, I hate stupidity and those who have power, but never find it enough for themselves, always striving for more to achieve their goal literally building them on corpses."

This made Nenneke silent. While she was thinking about the words he said, it took her a few minutes, but she asked August, "Let's meet up after we have our dinner. I will wait for you in this tower" She pointed her finger toward the tower and left August alone.

....

After dinner, August went for a meeting with Nenneke and walked up the stairs, reaching the highest floor of the tower and arriving at the door. With a few knocks, he entered without waiting for any kind of response.

Nenneke was sitting behind a big table with a lot of books on it. Most of them immediately caught August's attention, since most of them were about herbs and alchemy.

August got too absorbed in the process of looking in the titles of the books, that he completely forgot about Nennekeherself. To get August's attention, Nenneke cleared her throat and got his attention.

But as soon as she opened her mouth, a man with a face mask appeared in the room, with stuff in his hands and a long hood covering his entire body.

Next chapter will answer some question that one might have. I will try to make the villian more interesting along the way, but he won't be someone like a joker with personality disorder. He is fine in mind as much as it possible.

But he enjoys seeing people suffer in all kinds of ways, therefore he plays the roles such a caring man before doing something horrible. He is the perfect actor that one can't see the difference.
