CHAPTER 6

The drive back home was fun but short. We listened and sang along with songs. We had a lot in common than I thought. Immediately we got home, Hazel started explaining things to us.

"We found the pins of Deshanty. They are hung between the bridge between life and death. The problem is that only one person can go there. It's not worth our lives so let's just leave it there okay. We would find another way out." No it's not Hazel to back out like that.

"No ill go I can do it don't worry." I spoke out. "Danny please don't risk it, if you get stuck, you are stuck forever." Dana pleaded on the verge of tears. I couldn't give in. I had to take my responsibilities serious and as a witch hunter it's my responsibility. One look at Dana's face and I could give in so I looked who oddly had a cold face.

"I'm going and that is final. Could you open a portal for me Alyssa?" She just flipped her hand and we were in another room. I was in the middle of a circle made with golden candles. It smelled really nice and intoxicating. She started chanting and I felt very light. I looked down to see my body dropped on the floor. Wait what the fuck.

"You have only one hour so hurry up and find the portal because it changes position every hour. Right now, it's in the cave of Amoura so ill teleport you there." Alyssa said as she took a watch out of her pocket. "Stay safe brother and if you don't find it just get out of the portal." I just nodded. She tapped her middle finger with her thumb and I was standing in front of an enormous cave.

Dana's POV

Hazel looked so worried that I was getting affected. She got out of the room the ritual was taking place then I followed her. She went to the kitchen and I followed her there. She took a bowl of peanut butter and went to sit on the stool. I went to sit beside her and realised she was crying. Why would she be so worried?

"Why Hazel are you so….. I don't know, but your mood is really affecting mine. Tell me what's wrong at least that's what sisters are for." She nodded placing the peanut butter on the table.

"Do you remember Vladimir?" I nodded. He was the son of the goddess of flames. "He was my boyfriend. I loved him so much Dana. I don't think I can love anyone as much as I loved him." I thought she liked Danny. "We were out one day and we saw a portal. It had this legendary sward they use to kill dragons and other class A legendary beasts. It looked really beautiful and you know my love for swards so I told him I wanted it. The moment he entered the portal to get the sward, he laid lifeless and the portal closed. His soul got stuck in the portal. We sent him back to the palace and they could not revive him Dana. They couldn't." I pulled her in to my embrace as she was crying.

"Wait what happened to the body." I asked and she replied, "It was confirmed that he wasn't dead but he never woke up." She cried more after that.

"Oh Hazel. How have you been keeping all this to yourself? So what if we bring his body here, who knows maybe he might come with Danny."

"I am scared Dana, I'm very very scared. I could not handle the pain but dad wanted me to marry the son of the God of mischief, which is why I came to the human world. I don't like him. He is very wicked. He is also abusive. I don't want to get married to him." I hugged her and she cried till she fell asleep. I carried her to her room so she'd sleep. She has never looked this vulnerable. If only I could enter the portal.

DANNY'S POV

I walked around the cave with my super sight in the dark. The place was very dark. I found the portal and with my head already spinning I entered. After walking for miles, I felt that my back was heavy like someone was following me. I checked the spirit watch that appeared on my hand after I walked into the cave to see that it was only twenty minutes spent. I turned around abruptly and was met with a guy my age. He was tall and built. We both went into defense position after our eyes met. He was in a black cape and his hair was flaming fire. It wasn't burning the cape though strange.

"Who are you and why are you following me." I asked and he also asked "Who are you and what are you doing in this dimension?" Could he help even if I tell him, he had a beautiful sward strapped on his waist band. Is he the guardian spirit though, I needed all the help I can get.

"I'm Danny the witch hunter, protector of the earth and I'm here looking for the pins of Deshanty. I told him standing up straight. He also eased up a little standing straight. He looked less intimidating now. "I'm Vladimir the son of the god of flames and I got stuck in the portal going for this." He hit the sward strapped in the band of his pants. "Why do you need the pins of Deshanty though." He asked holding the handle of his sword. I've got to act quickly he's got trust issues. I was on the verge of summoning the witch hunter amour.

"I need to fight them and I need to keep it from them, come on man." I checked my time and it was ten minutes gone. "I need to find the pins man my time is running out and I have a wife I must protect." I wouldn't like to be trapped in obviously.

"So the portal is opened right?" he asked and I replied "yes I just need to grab the pins and get out of here." I concluded with a worried look on my face. "Okay follow me. We are close to the pins alright." I followed him, my instincts told me to. When we got there, I felt a powerful aura from the area. He pointed to the pins hanging on a stone that looked like a pulpit.

"Be careful, only true witch hunters can touch it, if you are one then nothing would happen to you. "We just had ten minutes left. So without much thinking, I grabbed the pins and nothing happened. I took a bag that I didn't realised was there then placed it in. something sealed around the bag then I hung it around my shoulder. "Let's leave man, short time left." We run with our strength and it was super-fast. It was super human speed. When we got to the portal, it was fading away. We had five seconds and Vladimir seemed to be in a trance. I held his hand and jumped out of the portal with him and the watch vanished from around my wrist. I looked at Vladimir feeling annoyed.

"Why did you do that, we nearly got stuck in that thing." I bust out angrily. "Sorry man I don't know, it happens whenever I get close to the portal. It's not the first time that's why I got stuck in it." I just nodded then held his hand teleporting us to the room. I entered my body, that's what I think at least. I couldn't open my eyes. I felt really tired but I could feel the bag around my neck. Then I heard it, her beautiful voice. Oh my Dana. I felt her soft lips on my cheek. I snugged close to her sweet smell and unconsciously, I opened my eyes. Good to see a beauty after a long nightmare. "Are you okay, do you feel any pain?" She held my face asking. I just shook my head then stood up with just a little difficulty.

"I came with a guy." I grained holding my back. I fell on the wrong side. She motioned her head towards my right. "Is that him?" I nodded. He had real hair now. His hair was red and long. It looked like his body was preserving itself. He could sleep for a decade and still maintain his hard muscles. "He is the prince of flames, he told me he got stuck in there going for that." I pointed the sward beside him. "Can we put him in one room Danny, Alyssa passed out after you returned. She was exhausted." Dana gave me a bottle and I drunk the content in it. I felt my energy return. I didn't question her, t trust my wife. I stood up and I felt that all my lost energy was replenished.

"I went back home for his body and got the water of life from the river, I knew it would drain your energy. How are you feeling now?" she concluded. "I'm fine Dana don't worry. I'm fine." I walked closer to her then hugged her kissing her fore head. We took him to one of the many clean rooms downstairs. He was still unconscious. My curiosity seeped in. "He has been stuck there for a very long time. He will come around maybe fifteen hours later." Dana said. "That's a long time though. How did you get his body." She told me how he is Hazel's boyfriend and how he got stuck in there. "So where is Hazel, I haven't seen her since I came back." "She fell asleep crying, she was worried sick you would get stuck in there."
