Adelia flinched, her eyes widening as she nervously fiddled with her dress. "How did you... How did you know?"

Azel merely shrugged as he began to pry open drawers and cupboards. "It's not exactly a secret, is it, Milady?"

"No," Adelia answered quietly. "But it is unusual for a foreigner to know about this. It isn't a secret, but it isn't exactly public news either."

"Hmm..." Azel hummed. He had eventually found some cooking utensils, carefully taking them out of the cupboard to avoid making too much noise. He had his back turned to her, pointedly avoiding her eyes. "Is that so? I suppose I must be among the privileged ones to have heard about it then."

In the ensuing silence, Adelia eyed his back uncertainly. Her head then lowered, and she began to pull at the threads of her dress.

For some reason, she didn't like that Azel had found out about her engagement to Reagan.

It made her uncomfortable.
