Chapter 8

The winter Fairy

Elena tries to gain control of herself as she starts accepting her faith. Though she didn't understand why her life had to be like this, she accepts them and trains to get stronger.

Winterfell has never looked so beautiful when Summer came, bringing out new fresh fruits, flowers and clean water. The animals in the winter wood helped keep the forest clean by eating off fallen flowers on the ground and eating off old grass roots.

This was also a period for reproduction of new offspring for the animals in the forest. Summer was really lovely and known to be very good for everyone in Winterfell except for Elena a winter fairy as it affected her terribly, making her fall sick.

Luckily for her she has her best friend Elevina who always looked after her. Uriel became more helpful than ever before. He escorted her whenever she went and came back. Though it may be tiring for others but not for Uriel as the sun rays made him to be very strong.

It's from the Sun he gets his powers from. Elena gets really happy and thanks Uriel and Elvenia for being so caring and nice to her. The winter fairy spirit also made an appearance helping Elena to recover sprinkling snow flakes on her as it helped her get a bit cold to adjust to the environment.

In the kingdom of Anglocnds, a word was sent to the king and queen about Uriel's successful mission in finding Elena. They both rejoiced as they tried to reach Uriel.

The king tells him to make an alliance with their kingdom. Uriel was on his way to the castle when he saw a wing, reaching down he picked it up and saw a message written in their language only which he could translate.

He takes the wing with him to the castle. Getting to the castle he sees Elena up and healthy, surprised he flew over to meet her.

" You seem to be healthy? What happened?" he said.

"Yes I am, well I really don't know but I started feeling much better after an hour ago." she said in a happy voice. Noticing what Uriel had on his hand she asked.

" What's that? Is that your wing? Oh! I didn't know angels shed their wings too." she said curiously, collecting the wing from his hands.

"No it's not my wings and neither do I shed. Actually it's a message from my kingdom In Anglocnds. The king has sent a message to you requesting for an alliance between our kingdom and yours." He said, collecting the wings from her hand.

Elena replied 'Well it's not my decision to make but Elevina, she's in charge when it comes to royal requests. I'll call her out for you." she said, turning around to find Elevina.

She sees Elevina in the garden watering the flowers. Elena tells her about Uriel's message and asks her what she thought about it.

Elvenia replies "Well sure that would be lovely, it will help secure Winterfell from any demonic creatures or magic." she said as she flew with Elena to meet Uriel.

Uriel gives a bow to Elvenia as he sees her coming out from the garden. "Greetings to you, my kingdom humbly ask for an alliance between your kingdom and our kingdom." he said, lifting up his head.

"Elena already told me and I'll be happy to have an alliance with you." she said, giving out a smile. Both of them shake hands together as Winterfell now unites with Anglocnds.

After a month, Winterfell goes back to winter as animals go back to their borrows to sleep waiting for the next summer to arrive. Elena trained endlessly with her powers as she got better and better, showing off her different skills with snow and ice.

Elena tries to practice her Ice power which she found difficult to control, on having control of the immersed power she gets a surge within her hearing a disturbed voice echoing inside her head.

The voice says `` You can do it Elena, you are stronger than you think , believe in yourself my child! You can do it…" The voice said continuously as she spread open her hands raining down sharp ice spikes on the ground. Exhausted and tired, she rested for a while and took an easy breath.

She wondered who's voice she had heard and got curious in finding out. She summons the winter Fairy with her pendant and asks her what the voice meant.

The winter fairy tells her about a familiar face trying to reach out to her which she doesn't know of but in a good way. She tells Elena to pray to the goddess of winter Marzanna as she will tell her what to do if ever the voice ever speaks to her.

The winter fairy departs from Elena. Elena noticed whenever she tried practicing with her powers that particular voice came inside her head. It drove Elena insane as she couldn't sleep at night.

She decides to pray to Marzanna( Goddess of winter) asking her to reveal who the strange voice came from. Marzanna shows fate to Elena as she appeared in a spirit form appearing to have a deep blue skin with red tiny ice flask from her upper body down to her lower body, black short bun hair, moonlight oval eye's, deep pink purple lips , ears looking like an elf, a small size straight not and a long tail at her back.

She stretched both of her hands and magically showed her an image of the voice in her head turning out to be a white fairy woman though Elena couldn't see her face clearly;

She had the same appearance as Elena. Elena asked "Who is she? Why does she look like me?!" she said, directing her hand to the image.

Marzanna replies "That I do not know but you could go to the realm of the ice land only a fairy born of ice could go there." she said as she handed her a moon stone.

" Throw the moonstone in the water and a portal will be made open for you, there you will enter the realm of iceland." she says leaving Elena as she disappears.

Elena goes to the river of spirit. There she brought out the moonstone and tossed it into the water as Marzanna instructed. She sees the water ripping with bubbles as a Portal was made. She enters the portal which takes her to the realm of iceland.

There she sees the realm covered in deep snow and ice as she begins her journey. Moving along the way she hears all sorts of voices and Spirit- like fairies running, laughing, singing and doing their normal work.

She hears the same voice that has been talking in her head as she follows the voice trying to catch up to the sound. Suddenly the voice stop's and two orbs emerge forming an image of a fairy which appeared in front of her.

She stares intensely at the fairy for a moment before she tries coming closer. The fairy had almost the same features of Elena except for her wing's which looked more bigger and crystal white than Elena's.

Opening her eye's the fairy says "Ah thank goodness you finally came Elena! I have been waiting for you for a very long time now. You look so beautiful! How I wished I was still with you but at least I finally got to see you." The unknown fairy said as she came closer to give Elena a hug.

Elena gets confused and asks "Sorry who are you? And how do you know my name?" she says as she takes a few steps backwards.

The unknown fairy replies " Oh my how could I forget, my name is Demetria your mother." she said in a soft tone.

Elena couldn't believe what she had heard and said "No! It can't be! You're not real! It's just an illusion and you're not my mother! I was never told of having a mother neither do I know her name so how are you real?!" she said as she fell to her knees crying.

Demetria came closer picking up Elena from the ground and gently wiping off her tears saying "Dear child, I know you wouldn't believe me and you must have so many questions but that I can't reply yet but I promise you with time you would know the truth of who you really are. Just know I have been watching over you my dearest daughter. I love you unimaginably." she said, holding her two hands.

Elena wrapped her hand's around her sobbing slowly though she felt really hurt but had a bit of hope that she has a mother this whole time.

Demeria says " you must get going, before the portal closes and hurry!" she said, pulling away from Elena.

"Aren't you coming? I need you please! Don't leave me alone again!" she said, crying uncontrollably.

"Oh my beautiful dove, I never left you, I am always there beside you. You have grown to be more beautiful, strong, and smart. You are indeed a special fairy but I can't come with you as my place remains here. If you see me in your realm just know it isn't real but only an illusion. You have to be strong and smart my dear child but you must hurry before it's too late. I love you!" she said, holding Elena's hand as she slowly disappeared into the air.

Elena replies " I love you too! How would I find you again?" she said as she watched her mother disappear.

She notices the portal was about to close and quickly flies into the diminishing portal that was about to close. It took her back to Winterfell.

Arriving, she sobs quietly close to the river. Elevina, flies by, sees Elana crying and approaches her saying

" Elena what happened? Why are you crying?" she said, wiping off her tears coursing down her cheeks.

Elena replied I...I saw my mother Elvenia, I really saw her… My mother." She said, gazing at the luminating moon close to the river.
