Chapter 43
When she finally contains her laughter, Niya looks sideways and finds Chase already looking at her.
“It was fun.” She says to remove the awkwardness and again looks at the sky where Moon Mother is sitting on her throne, basking them with moonlight. This is the first time she has felt this light, the first time she has taken time for herself without thinking of anything else. No one to prove, no one there to judge her...only she enjoying the moment with the boy she has started to fall for. She has run from her feelings before, has never acknowledged that she can love someone, but now all those perceptions are falling like a stack of cards.
She sits up and is immediately awestruck by the landscape in front of her. “So beautiful!!!” she exclaims, unable to tear her eyes from the scenic beauty. Chase sits up next to her pleased with her reaction. “Welcome to my paradise” He says.
