Niya expected a room even more lavish than Juno’s studio. She has wondered about Juno’s room if his studio can be that extra. But walking into Chase’s room, she is taken aback by the simplicity and neatness. The room is more than enough for one person but very sparsely furnished. There is a small cupboard, a small bedside table, a simple bed and an attached shower room. There are other objects not clearly visible in the semi darkness but no mirror at all, at least not visible to her. Strange! She expected him to look and sigh at his own reflection at least twice a day.
“Let me turn the light on.”
“No need.” Niya stops him.
He arches one of his eyebrows. “Your intentions are unclear to me.”
“I don’t want anyone to see me here with you.”
“I don’t want that either. Alright I will light a candle.”
