Promise

After dinner, the couple took a stroll in the garden.

Lu Muchen also took her to the other places around.

While they were going on their tour, Lu Muchen wanted to show Cheng Yinan a particular place.

They walked a little further and came across a pond. it has small fishes swimming in it.

" This is where I used to come when I want to be alone "

" it a lovely place " Cheng Yinan said smiling.

" Cheng Yinan " Lu Muchen called out softly.

" Mm "

" Why did you agree to marry me " he asked with slightly scrunched face.

Silence reigned for a moment.

Cheng Yinan stood up from her squatting position.

She leaned on an Oak tree near the pond.

" If I see what is good for me I'll know "

" Marrying you will make everything I ever wanted come true " she said the Truth.

Lu Muchen nodded his head in understanding.

" Cheng Yinan " He called softly when he got closer. She looked up meeting his deep blue eyes. She was enchanted.

" Promise you would give this marriage a chance " Lu Muchen said cupping her tiny face into his big palm.

Cheng Yinan did not know the exact reason why he wanted her as his wife. One thing she knew was that he wanted her. She felt lucky being wanted by an outstanding man like him. She was willing to give this relationship a try.

" Mm..I promise " she responded with a smile on her face.

Lu Muchen was grinning from ear to ear when he heard her answer.

He gave her a cute little kiss on her cheeks.

His action made Cheng Yinan blush deeply and she hurried her face in his warm chest.

Lu Muchen hugged her planting another kiss on her head.

The couple headed back to the mansion.

" Ah Chen why don't you guys spend the night here " Zheng Mian suggested.

Lu Muchen looked at Cheng Yinan asking her what she wanted without talking.

Cheng Yinan was a little stunned at the question but since she decided to give this marriage a chance why not.

She nodded at Lu Muchen.

Lu Muchen smiled.

" Okay Mom "

" Good, then take her to your room and let her take some rest "

" Mm "

Lu Muchen opened the door to one of the rooms upstairs. The moment you step your foot into that room, you will know it belonged to a male. The only colour visible is grey or black. It had this dark and lonely vibe.

" Go take a shower first " Lu Muchen said showing her the bathroom.

" Mm "

She was about to enter the bathroom when it struck her.

" Lu Muchen " She called.

He turned to face her.

" I don't have anything clothes here "

Lu Muchen smiled and walked to what seemed like the closet.

He opened the doors. Cheng Yinan's mouth hanged open. The closet was huge. One side was full of men's clothes.

Surprisingly the other side was full of women's clothes. She looked at the man with questions in his eyes.

" I had them prepare this just in case "

Cheng Yinan nodded her and admiring his thoughtfulness.

She went inside the closet and picked a pink silk night gown.

She didn't take that long to finish her bath.

Lu Muchen went to take a bath also.

Cheng Yinan was currently hinking about how they were going to sleep.

She was still thinking when Lu Muchen was done with his bath.

" What are you thinking about " he asked noticing the frown on her face.

" Uhm..I was thinking about how we were going to sleep "

" Of course you sleep on the bed....with me " He said with a playful attitude even though he was serious.

Cheng Yinan was frozen.

Her mind went blank. Sleep together. The only person she ever shared a bed with was Yang Ruoxi.

" Don't worry nothing will happen "

" Moreover this will become a daily routine when we are officially married.

Cheng Yinan card herself with that thought too.

' He is my soon to be husband there is nothing wrong with sharing a bed ' she thought.
