Realm of Spells

Everyone who was participating in the Catch-Up Cabin, they all sat down.

Beatrice Alighieri is standing in front of them all. 'I want to thank you all for participating in this program. And as promise, the Guild Leaders, even formerly in the case of Ms. Branwen, you will learn a new spell as well.'

One of her Shadows has brought in a Grimoire, a basic small book where it seems like a notebook rather than the actual older looking book from the Coven Meeting.

'Right here, you will learn your new spells.'

Dorothy then raised her hand.

'Yes, Ms. Gardner?'

'Do we just read the book and pick out the spell to learn? Like a "how-to" type of learning?'

'Good question, Ms. Gardner. Actually, it's a form of blood magic. Not much though, just a drop would do. And the upcoming Witch who will be nominated or be considered to be a Salem Witch, this is a somewhat of a smaller simulation to it. So would you four please walk forward and prick yourselves for the blood donation.'

Ambrosia Branwen, Bianca Myles, Glinda Gardner, and Karen McIntyre walk up to the notebook.

They prick their from a little knife and smear it onto the Grimoire.

'I'm gonna do a chant that will let you enter a Realm of Spells. A Grimoire is a library for spells, so you will walk around it to find a Spell that you like to learn. And unlike the chant that will let a new Salem or Plague Witch take her seat, this is a simple chant.'

Beatrice Alighieri then chanted in Italian;

"Witches of old, open up the Doors of Knowledge.

Allow them to witness your spellbook lineage.

To let them learn their new spell after their passage.

To either bring them fear or find their courage.

With your consent you had allowed them for their usage.

Now explore the Realm of Spells into the infinite voyage!"

During the chants, all four eyes are going blank as spiritual, they're falling down from the starry skies where they saw a library underwater.

Each one hit the water, then ended up sitting up.

They all check themselves up, if they survived.

Karen is back crawling to a nearest bookshelf. Ambrosia is freaking out and running around the library. Bianca seems annoyed by it. Dorothy is doing stretches as she seems tired of going to the Mindscape.

'How many times do I have to come here? And I have only been in the Mindscape twice.' Dorothy dust herself off.

All four are looking around the Realm of Spells, seeing orbs surrounding them.

Dorothy has multiple orbs around her while the other three have only around three orbs. Dorothy has one orb that is quite brighter than most.

She's flying up on the bookshelf then sees books.

Each person is walking around the library, and they're walking around the same bookshelf corner to reveal that they're not at the same place together.

Dorothy grabs her brightest orb to reveal it's her Pyrobolum spell and it even rewinds to its original inspiration where she was stuck inside of a burning barnhouse where it was on fire.

Grabbing another orb where she remembers the pain where Almira teased her back at the Bad Apple where it inspired her electrical spell of Grimstorm.

Dorothy then grabs the smaller orbs to reveal her two new spells of "Rainbow Cyclone" and "Wicked End", thus their original points of falling from a twister for the former, but there's no original trace.

'What is the meaning of this spell? I only thought of it in my Mindscape.'

Darien, who's her Familiar, walks up to her.

'Darien? Why are you here?'

'I'm your Familiar. I'm like a Curator for you when it comes to spells. My access to these spells aren't mine to control, but you can allow me to use them if necessary.'

'Well, how can you be here then? Are you knocked out as well?'

'Yes. Am I bound to you, Master Dorothy. Unlike your Mindscape experience, I wasn't able to join you. But here, I can.'

'And is this the place you use your teleportation?'

'No. We use what we call in the Familiar Kingdom; the Animal Leyline System.'

'Ah, I see then.' Dorothy is looking around. 'Well, since you're here, what can you tell me about where this spell originated?'

Darien looks over it. 'Since it's from your Mindscape battle that you told us about, you must find a way on how to use it on your own. But if it's in an orb, then you can use it.'

'What if I wanted to rename a name?' Dorothy is practicing on using the Wicked End but couldn't manifest.

'It doesn't really matter since you're thinking about the spell, you can call it the Litter Blaster and it would still be whatever you're thinking about.'

Dorothy shrugs then. 'Then I'll just call it out whenever.'

Grabs the third orb where it reveals her using the vines and wood when she was about to attack Almira when she woke up from her Cauldron then the time she used it against her negative self.

'I didn't realize I could use this Spell.'

Looking through the memories of herself keeps getting tangled up in tree branches and vines.

'I guess I didn't consider this to begin with. Should use this a bit more, since it can be very helpful in the future.'

Dorothy continues on looking through her spells then sees one of her latest spells of "Drago's Burst". Then she sees different element orbs where it seems she used fire, electricity, and nature. And oddly enough for her, she sees stone.

'When did the stone ever hit, oh right.' She remembers kids throwing rocks at her from school. 'I just remembered that one of those little munchkins just threw stones at me. All this over a lollipop.' Dorothy doesn't seem to find it amusing.

Dorothy is looking around for each Spell from the Realm of Spells.

Darien is looking at Dorothy's literal starlight eyes. 'Love your star contacts. You should wear those for your Magical Girl Academia life.'

'Star contacts?'

Dorothy looks at the mirror then realizes that her eyes have the Witch's Pentagram, and the Magical Star eyes.

'Woah! How on Earth did this happen?!'

The mirror showcases the battle between Bloody Mary at Oztown where she was teaming up with Becky, where her eyes had revealed that Dorothy had these eyes since then.

'Was it really that long ago?' Turn to Darien. 'Darien? Do you know anything about this?'

'I may enter into the Realm of Spells but I don't know everything, unless I'm a very old cat, which I am not. So you gotta ask a much older Witch or historian of Witches. And lucky for you, we're at the Catch-Up Cabin.'

'Alrighty then. I'll ask Mrs. Alighieri about it. Still odd on seeing this though.'

Dorothy then managed to change both eyes to match one star and vice versa.

'Still, kind of interesting. In the meantime, I should look up any spells I will be using in the future.'

Dorothy continues to look around with Darien.

Each Witch continues to look around, reading what each Spell can do. Some seem intrigued, while the rest are either confused or disgusted.

'Is there anything you fancy, Master Dorothy?'

'I want to learn something I will be using, but I don't want it to be an attack Spell. The Spells I learn I can do on my own, but something useful for me.'

Darien is looking around then smiles. 'Say something like "Memory Spells", and see what happens next.'

Dorothy is looking at Darien with confusion. 'Are you sure?'

'I'm only here to guide you, Master Dorothy.'

'Alright then…' Looking up then back to the bookshelf. 'May I have Memory Spells?'

The library reacts to it then both Dorothy and Darien are being pulled to a certain bookshelf where the books are reorganizing itself then each book under Memory Spell pops out.

'I'm guessing these might be Memory Spells.' Dorothy said to Darien then picked up a book then read it.

'Ah, this is the Picture Memory Spell. But maybe I can learn this on my own.'

An orb flies up to Dorothy.

'Oh! I guess I have learned it. Oh right, now I remember.'

Turns to see a memory of her getting shocked by Almira Green for the feeling of electricity, then the painful pull from the first time she learned the spell.

'That taser still hurts like hell.' Dorothy rubbing her backside.

Shaking her head.

'Alright, let's see what else when it comes to memory spells I can learn.'

Dorothy is looking through different memory spells, there's the Recipe Spell where she can remember all of the recipes, even unlock recipes from one's own brain where it seems to be lost.

Another Memory Spell is a glorified Address Book, where she can remember the numbers and previous places anyone she knows used to live in.

Many of the Memory Spells are based around home-based work, such as; sewing, cleaning, cooking, and even gardening tips.

Dorothy seems to be overwhelmed by the Spell selection. 'So many Spells, but so little time. Which one to choose is quite impossible.'

'Master Dorothy? What kind of Memory Spell do you actually want to learn?'

'Something that could help me on recreating the Wicked End Spell.'

'Like all Spells here, there must be something that requires it.'

'But I'm trying to figure out which one would fit the bill. It's basically my Pyrobolum Spell, but it uses something inside rather than the memory of fire and shotgun recoil.'

Dorothy continued to look at all of the Memory Spells till she had encountered a unique Memory Spell.

"Loved Ones?"

Dorothy opens it up, to reveal that it's the Spell that allows her to use the energy of those she considered as a loved one to boost her own power. There's a side effect that's written that if taking the power by force, she'll end up taking years away from that person or even killing them in the process. It works much better in a consented manner, and doesn't have a short term effect.

'Short term? Then what is the long term effect?'

She continues to read that if the Witch who used this power, willingly gives back the energy, she will instead lose a year of her own life. Giving love back to the person.

'Mrs. Green uses blood in order to obtain her youthful appearance, normally by murdering. And I do have my Virgin Blood to maintain it, so…'

Continue to read. On a plus side for looks, the spell will keep you looking young.

'What about the deceased people that I had loved… oh wait, right here.'

Using this Spell from those that are deceased will only work through the memory of their love. A boast from within in order to increase oneself magic but warning, it will increase the pain onto oneself due to over extending themself in order to use love from the deceased loved one.

'Hmm…' Dorothy is thinking about it as she's reading more about the Spell.

If the consenting person that's willingly to give up their life energy, then they will lose a year while the person who they gave it to, an extra year.

'So this Spell has many problems, and judging by this book, it seems like it has never been used much. Then again, seeing the price for using this Spell, I can see why this Spell has been avoided for so long.'

Grabbing a chair and thinking about it while everyone else is looking around, making their choice.

Karen grabs a Spellbook and looks happy over the idea of it. 'This will prove to Johnston that she will never beat me, and her Guild Leader, Dorothy. Perhaps after this, I should challenge her again.' She gives out an obnoxious laugh while putting her Spellbook of choice, High Voltage.

Bianca is looking through the same Memory Spell selections but no Dorothy in sight. Seeing a Spellbook that caught her eye. Painful Memories.

Ambrosia is looking through multiple Spellbooks to find the perfect Memory Spell, Knitting Mastery. 'Ah! Found it! No more trying to learn it through the hard way.'

'It's an excellent choice, Master Ambrosia.'

'And with these other Spells that are clearly in my access, I can become not only a powerful Witch, but also become a Salem Witch by the next Coven Meeting.' She gives out an evil laugh.

'Master Ambrosia, there's a problem about you having access to the Realm of Spells here.'

Stop laughing and awkwardly look at her Familiar. 'Come again?'

'Once we leave here, you will lose all of your knowledge about other Spells here, besides our conversation or whatever you have in mind that doesn't involve Spells. How else can you learn them on your own?'

'Huh?' Ambrosia seems disappointed. 'Then how can I come here to have access to the Realm of Spells?'

'By forming a Grimoire of your own. Actually, when you leave here, all Guild Leaders will be given their own Grimoires. For their own personal use, but unlike here where you can learn Spells. Your personal Grimoire will be your own personal library.'

'Is it mandatory?'

'Not always, majority of Witches will tend to learn it on their own.'

Back to Dorothy.

'So have you made your choice, Master Dorothy?'

Each Witch starts to draw out some blood from either thumb or palm then smears the page of the certain spell that they like.

The page of the Spellbook glows red as if life brought it into life, then the blood went back inside of each Witch.

The Spells are transplanting their knowledge into their minds.

The floor itself turned into a door, letting all four fall down and back into their world.

All four minds had returned, and each one was holding their heads.

'My head!' Dorothy is holding her head.

Karen immediately rushed up to Dorothy. 'Gardner! I challenge you into another…' She started feeling numb then leaning onto Dorothy which made her feel uncomfortable.

Both Makayla and Olivia quickly react to this with both of them pressing their respective Wands onto Karen till Beatrice uses her Shadows to pull them apart with attempted murder on them instead.

'Please, just calm down. It must be the effects of a certain Spell. What was it?'

'The High Voltage Spell.'

Beatrice then starts snickering. 'Out of all the Spells, you choose the one spell that you have to both eat a lot of food and need to exercise a lot, alongside with mindful stimulation? You're insane.' Full out laughing at Karen's choice.

'What's wrong with staying in shape?' Bianca asks.

'High Voltage is an Electrical Spell that requires the brain and body to feel the electrical current, more like burning off the overwhelming effects of the Spell.'

'What does it do?' Ambrosia asks.

'It makes your Spells and body stronger, but it requires both body and brain to be stimulated. Outside of sleep, she needs to eat plenty, exercise the majority of the day, and study a lot.'

Karen barely got up, leaning onto Bianca who also felt uncomfortable too.

'How long?'

'Till your body and brain can maintain it. It's like the Muscle Memory Spell, where the body needs time to settle in.'

'Crap!' Karen angrily collapses down. 'Gardner! Once this Spell has settled in, you and I will have to go at it.'

'You can start exercising tomorrow.'

'And how can I start if I'm like this?'

'By eating more. As long as you have food in your stomach, you can move freely. As long as you can still do some exercising.'

'Well crap! I'm gonna need some help on going to the Bad Apple. And order cake, fries, milkshakes and a few burgers!'

The Pink Lightning helps their Guild Leader out of the room.

Bianca walks up to Beatrice, asking to hold a session here for the future, which she accepts.

While Ambrosia is leaving for her room, with Bianca following suit.

Once they're completely alone, Dorothy walks up to Beatrice, wanting to ask her about something.

'Mrs. Alighieri? Can I ask you about a certain type of magic?'

'Certainly.' Beatrice is just clearing out her desk as she's looking through the book. 'What kind of magic are you hoping to know about?'

'It's about my eyes. They turned into stars.'

Dorothy is going to use the Witch's Pentagram on both eyes.

Beatrice quickly looks up then back to her book till she realizes Dorothy's eyes.

'Those eyes…' Standing up with an astonished tone. 'How did you have those eyes?'

'It happened during Oztown. But I didn't know I had these eyes till I had entered the Realm of Spells. What do you make of them? Because my Familiar told me that I need to ask a Witch that knows about history.'

'Ms. Glinda Gardner, right?'

She nods.

'I recommend you ask your Mentor, Mira, about it. She's actually older than me, and she might know more about that than anyone else. But I do know what it's called.'

Dorothy nods in agreement.

'It's called the Balor's Eye.'
