Dorothy is walking through world history, she seems to be watching the entertainment side of history, they had been watching the 2010's.
'From your taste of history, you seem to be interested in the film industry and…'
The end of the professional wrestling boom.
'Sports entertainment, or at least that was the marketing was to the number one wrestling company in the world.'
'Yeah, I used to wrestle with Ozcar back in the day. He would have loved those Texan brothers if he had lived long enough to see them, but I prefer my taste to be more Tennessee based from the King, but those Harts are quite interesting up north. Certainly I wouldn't live that long. I possibly would have had a heart attack and gone through a broken life after World War 2, if I'm being honest.'
'You ain't the first, nor the last.' Beatrice escorts her around and enters the 2020s.
'War doesn't interest me, but I do tend to attract violence into my life. But I didn't know that would happen on Monday. I can't believe all of this had happened, even without magic. But, what about the Magical Girls? Mrs. Green only gives me her experience at least.'
Beatrice signed. 'I saved that for last. I was hoping to save that for tomorrow, but this is where we might get into enemy territory. But before we enter the next ten minutes of hell, why do you love the film industry, creative arts, and professional wrestling?'
Beatrice sat down where they're at an art class of a university with multiple pictures being placed around the room that represent Dorothy's old life in the 1900.
Dorothy looks above to see a picture of a rainbow then a dog appears out of nowhere. She picks up the small dog to place him onto her lap, petting him.
'Film and art is like seeing the rainbow coming down onto us. To bring color to our creativity. And whenever I do see the rainbow itself, it was the brightest moment of my life because I had never seen something so magical but so simple at the same time.'
'That explains the film and art, but why pro wrestling?'
'Because it looks fun!' Dorothy smiles while giving out her cackle.
'Odd answer, especially from a girl that came from 1900. But nowadays, women can have such quirks. Oddly enough, women having quirks were the first symptoms of Witch accusations, even among women who do things the traditional ways. Only a few handfuls can break the barrier, even respect from the opposite sex.'
'Oh! That actually reminds me of a certain character architect that I do tend to like. The strong women before the modern day ruined them, even though they're from film and art, they can still provide such progressive movements.'
Some of the pictures are filled with famous female leads, and even wrestlers.
'Well, I do have some questions about figures that have caught my interest.' Dorothy is curious as several more empty sheets are ready to be filled.
'Ask away. This will be quite useful in order to stay conscious while we pass the hour limit.' Beatrice is sitting back as she seems to be interested in Dorothy's questions.
'Mulan? I only saw the movie, but I'm curious about it.' Dorothy pulls out a picture of Mulan, but the imagery of the room itself turned into the landscapes of China during the Northern Wei Dynasty.
'Not many don't know the actual story of Mulan Hua, we don't have witches in Asai all together.'
'Mulan Hua? I thought it goes the other way around?'
'I just wanted to say the name in a western setting. Like saying Man Ip instead of Ip Man. Anime dub tends to do that actually, say it in a western way.' Beatrice giggled.
'So the story of Mulan?'
'Like I said, we don't have actual Witches in China, they're quite rare. Even if we do have some, they would have said the same thing, "Wait, she served in the war? Which one?" Because no one truly knows the origins of her story or pin it down to a certain Dynasty. Only speculations.'
'So any Chinese Witches weren't part of the war?'
'We don't care about war in general, we just mind our own business. Hide among the people. They don't even know if she was real or not, and if so, they couldn't tell the difference from the soldiers themselves.' Beatrice pulls out the old poem, or at least a replica of it. 'But I do theorize that perhaps the poem itself was inspired by the Trung Sisters when you think about the story beats. Either the singer was thinking about his long lost love, someone who knew a girl named Mulan and went to war but no true context behind it, or the Emperor at the time wanted to spread some propaganda? No one knows, but that's my theory.'
Dorothy leans back out of astonishment. 'Then how about Jane Austen? I used to write but I tend to give up since I'm not that quite good at it at all. Couldn't write to save my life. I still have the ruler marks on my ass for my poor grammar. But the moment I came to this time period, I had to look her up and thankfully, Mrs. Green has all of her books. Even has an autographic one for "Pride and Prejudice" from the author herself. Sadly it was burned down in the fire.'
'Why want to know about a woman from someone who is clearly a fan of her work?' Beatrice then realized what Dorothy mentions. 'Wait? Did you say that Almira has a copy of her autograph book?' Dorothy nods as Beatrice holds her side, thus starting shaking her rapidly. 'Then how the hell did she get it on fire? Was she cooking next to it?!'
'No, my house was under attack and the Nazis came and ruined everything. Now that you mentioned it, the other copies of Jane Austen work were reproductive copies, and look kind of newer than the one I read.'
Beatrice stops herself then gives out a calm posture. 'Well then. Perhaps it wasn't the first time the Nazis had burned something with historical backing. Anyways, Jane Austen lived on what her Wikipedia page says.'
'Anne Frank?'
The imagery turned into the Anne Frank House.
'Sadly everything said about her hideout is true. She didn't live that long.'
'Then who betrayed them? I only understood, from what Mrs. Green said that she had managed to escape and some of the Witches back then would have possibly wanted to make her a Witch.'
'That's only from hindsight. Many of us Witches had hindsight regrets on not aiding those who could benefit their knowledge or their influence. Actually, she is just another victim that all of us just tend to ignore before her diary has been found.'
'Ah I see. So were there moments you wished you had saved by becoming a Witch?'
The imagery turned into Paris, France, where a car crash happened.
'Princess Diana. I was just a few blocks away till this happened. I was about to head to bed till I heard the sirens. At first, I thought it was just another person, so I shrugged it off till I heard the news. I regretted that decision.'
The imagery turned from the car crash to the twister from Kansas, seeing the inside of the twister.
'If I wasn't saved here, I would've been another regrettable sacrifice here?'
'That's correct.' Beatrice walking them through the storm itself.
They entered the Romanov Family and their palace.
'If you think that was troubling, you should have seen Alya Rusakova. She blames herself for exposing Rasputin acts towards the Tsarist government which resulted in one of the leading factors against the Romanov Family. When Alya was gonna find one of the daughters, she could make her into a Witch. She had options, but they all died.'
'Options?' Dorothy walked up towards the Romanovs.
'Alya was a true Imperial Russian supporter, she even gave up on her serial killer career for Russia itself.'
'Another serial killer?' Dorothy seems to be more annoyed rather than shocked. 'How many serial killers are there?'
'Between the countless and the infinite amount.' Beatrice laughed it off.
'So who was Alya?'
'Baba Yaga.'
Dorothy is completely shocked as she turns to face Beatrice. 'Now that one I had heard of.'
'But after they died, she found her first and final Apprentice.'
'Is she someone famous?' Dorothy seems to be curious since she's Almira's first and perhaps final apprentice herself.
'Quite so. She's the General of the Last Soviet.'
Dorothy's eyes widened as she remembered back at the Coven Meeting.
'Oksana Kozlov, one of the Ten Salem Witches.'
The imagery turned from the halls of the palace to their execution. And one of the Bolsheviks took a broken table leg, beating down the guards with it.
'Us Witches will regret not saving anyone in hindsight. You too will encounter that one day. After seeing this, it reminds me of a Russian legend of Marinka the Witch.'
'Who's that?'
Everything went backwards in time to reveal that the Romanovs had let Marina Mniszech's son be hanged.
'She cursed the name Romanovs, and it had been fulfilled. There were no Witches that had royal origins, even as centuries went by, we don't even know. But some of us do wish we could have royalties or influenced figures as our apprentices.'
Everything went back to Dorothy's art room.
'One more; Joan of Arc?' Dorothy surprisingly says her name in a French accent.
'Funny story actually.' Beatrice giggled.
Dorothy is completely shocked with her dog. 'Huh?!'
'Well, it goes like this. Joan was just picking up some medicine out in the field till one day, God spoke upon her, telling her to lead the French army to victory. Actually, that part is quite bullshit.'
'She was an actual Witch? Like actually being properly accused as such?!' Dorothy nearly had a mock heart attack.
'What? No. She was never a Witch. A Saint? Yes, but not a Witch.'
Imagery of the Hundred Years' War is shown between them.
'The truth is, a couple of Witches who were on that field, pulled a prank on poor Joan that day. They mock God by saying they were Him and made her do an impossible task. Though they could have a giggle over it, to their actual surprise, she did exactly like that. Brought down the English Empire, even King Henry IV was embarrassed by her. And because of her death, she had inspired France to win the war. And those two Witches? They spread her Legend across the world, as atonement of their prank. In fact, they started one of the earliest Witch's Guilds. Not an Ancient Guild but still a powerful Guild; St. Joan's Guild.'
'Are they still active?'
Beatrice looks down. 'No. They died out. They lasted quite a long time too, but when they went to America, Charlotte White and her Guild completely annihilated them while the remaining survivors worked like an underground cult ideology, trying to revive Joan of Arc but failed. Their final days, when they encountered the She-Wolf.'
Dorothy is completely surprised as she remembers her from the time her house had been burned down. 'So they're all wiped out?'
'All but one.'
They're seeing the sole member, trying to preach the tales of Joan of Arc.
'She survived for over 60 years till the Planetary Girls appeared in front of her.'
Seeing the fight between the St. Joan Guild's last member and the Planetary Girls, all wearing their respective colors, and covering themselves under shadows, unable to make their faces.
'She was lectured for defiling the name of Joan of Arc, and the meaning behind her actions by saying that because of the Witches must have made her prosecutors burn her on the stake.'
The last member had been burned down by the stake, but still alive though as the fire started to go low as everything around Dorothy had darkened up.
'Whatever happened to her?'
Dorothy turns to see Beatrice is gone.
'Beatrice?'
Dorothy is walking around to try to find her but all she did was walk in the dark.
'Beatrice!'
Nothing but an echo.
The solid ground itself is starting to devolve into a jello-like movement with each step till she finally went through like water itself.
She's starting to sink till she decides to swim upwards, towards the only light in the mindscape.
She can breathe under the water due to it being a mindscape, but each strive feels suffocating. Her head pops up, she falls from the water itself and diving down towards the light itself.
Breaking through the light and roughly landed in the fields of Kansas of 1990. She's the only colored being while everything else is in a sepia tone fashion.
Standing up to look around, feeling nostalgic about the feeling till she sees herself before she became a Witch.
Spoke with a southern accent. 'Who are you?'
