CHAPTER 29

"What's going on here?", Gray said as he saw the huge crowd in the training ground. Together with Cana, the two kids squeeze their way into the field. They eventually stumbled their way into where Master Makarov and Gildarts were standing.

"Master, what is going on here?", Gray asked.

"Oh, Gray. The guild has a new member and he is currently having a spar with Laxus". Makarov explained.

Gray looks back in the field and he could see that Laxus was trying hard not to get hit by the fist and kicks of the new guy of the guild. He even was covering his body with lighting to move faster but the new guy could somehow seem to catch up to him. Even if Laxus tries to retaliate the new guy could easily dodge or blocks his attacks.

"Ice?", Gray said in bewilderment, he saw that every time the new guy landed a hit that area would seem to be become or covered into ice.

"He has an interesting magic, doesn't he?", Gildarts said as he drank the remainder of his beer.

"Who are you old man?", Gray asked the man that was standing near Master Makarov.

"Oh, I forgot that you haven't met. Gildarts these two are the previously new members of the guild before Enzo arrived. This boy is Gray Fullbuster and the girl beside him is Cana Alberona", Makarov said as he pointed at Gray and Cana, respectively.

"Oh, nice to meet you, kids", Gildarts said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too old man", Gray replied.

"Ni....nice....t.....me.....me.....et....y...y.o..u.", Cana said with nervousness. Right in front of her is the father that she wanted to find. She had asked around the guild and she already knows that her father was the only S-rank of Fairy Tail. This could be her moment to tell him the truth, to tell him that she was her daughter, but the words could barely escape her mouth. Deep down she feels unworthy of him, this prevented her from telling him the truth.

"AH!", Laxus shouted as he was blasted on the other side of the battlefield due to receiving a powerful kick from Enzo.

"Pathetic, really pathetic. You view yourself on such a high pedestal yet this is what you can only do. Pathetic", Enzo said with disdain in his voice.

"SHUT UP!", Laxus said as his body was bursting with electricity and his muscles began to bulge that his clothes were being torn.

"I'll show you what I can do!", Laxus shouted as he charges all his enthernano in his next attack. Due to him channeling so much magic, the frozen part of his body began to expand rapidly. This was going to be his last attack and Laxus knew it, if he can't defeat Enzo with this attack then it will be his loss. A seal began to appear in front of Laxus and he shouted;

"ROAR OF THE LIGHTING DRAGON!"

Out came a powerful magical attack that even both Makarov and Gildarts were mildly shocked that Laxus was able to produce. A powerful ray of lighting magic was aimed directly at Enzo, who as a matter of fact was not moving. Enzo was just standing there with a cold look on his face.

Then in an instant, a powerful burst of magical energy was released out of Enzo's body. The average level wizard of the guild only felt the raw power that was radiating out of his body, but not Makarov and Gildarts. Both of them showed a serious expression when they felt another form of energy accompanying Enzo's ethernano. The energy was faint and not magical in nature, this intrigued them but the most important thing they felt was the small amounts of killing intent that was accompanying it.

Both of them were suddenly experiencing a flight or fight response, and if they weren't so in control of their magical ability then they would have all of sudden flared their magical energy in response.

Enzo was releasing a small amount of killing intent, something that they only felt when fighting powerful monsters and some deranged psychopath wizards in the past. They weren't sure if Enzo was doing this on purpose or if he was subconsciously releasing it.

The powerful magical attack was so close to Enzo but Enzo remained cold, calm, and collected. He cocked his right arm and transformed it into his Yeti form, after that it was suddenly covered with this grayish color. He released it in the middle of Laxus's attack, right before it hit him and he shouted.

"IRON ROCK SMASH!"

Enzo's attack hits Laxus's roar head-on and something incredible happened. Instead of Laxus's attack exploding upon contact, it suddenly froze. Every ethernano and lighting particles of Laxus's attack was frozen in the air and eventually exploded into small fragments of ice.

"WHAT!"

"NO WAY!"

"IMPOSSIBLE!"

Everyone was shocked and in disbelief in what they saw, but Laxus was the most shocked of them all. After using every last bit of his magical energy, he fell to one knee, and most of his body already became ice sculptures.

"Im...possi..ble", Laxus said while panting. The last attack had greatly weakened him.

"You manage to make me transform my arm that's all you could do", Enzo said as he walks towards Laxus.

"So, that's his magic, Take-over magic", Makarov said in a serious voice.

"What type of magic is that master?", Gray asked.

"Take Over is an advanced Caster-Type Transformation Magic. Take Over allows the user to, essentially, "take over" the power of an entity and use it to fight. It can increase the power, strength, and speed of the Caster, sometimes adding a new skill, such as flying or breathing underwater. For Enzo's case, it gave him the ability to freeze upon contact, and it seems he can do it even without him fully transforming", Makarov said to Gray.

Makarov glances at Kagura and he could see the adorable adoration the little girl has for Enzo. They say that children are good judge of character, this got Makarov thinking. Perhaps Enzo had a dark past which made him had killing intent, but Kagura obviously adores him, he wonders if Enzo wasn't secretly evil. He could only hope that Enzo was not someone that would harm the guild.
