As I continued fighting, I kept an eye on my grandfather, as I watched, they stood there with fingers on their hilts ready to draw their weapons. To my surprise the enemy leader was a master swordsman just like my grandfather. As well as my grandfather's brother Iolite, they drew their respective weapons as the battle commenced. His style was so similar to my grandfather's style.

After I finished killing off the last of the soldiers and my sword now stained red with blood. I watched in amazement as they battled each other. The brothers complemented each other blow for blow.

Then Iolite said, "You were always the stronger and more talented in the family. Father never paid any attention to me. Whilst you went on to live your happy, carefree life, I was left abandoned and ignored. Had I not been saved and trained in more tactical things and to become much stronger. I wouldn't be able to one day beat you and take what is rightfully mine and gain the very recognition I deserve. As promised by my master Eon Pax."

"I never thought for once that I was better than you. However, father never did acknowledge the talents you had. I watched as he shunned you and said you'd be the death of us. He warned me to stay away from you and your misguided ways. I admit he never saw your talents for what were or could have been," my Grandfather replied.

"But even with that, I still looked up to you, older brother, but that's no excuse for the dark path you chose. You put our family— No! Your own family at risk, we had no choice but to leave you behind. You stole and betrayed all of us," said my grandfather.

"That banishment was the biggest embarrassment of my life. No matter for today, I'll make you pay. You all will pay! Hahaha!" his brother said aloud as he laughed maniacally.

With great force, he started to release a massive amount of sinister energy the force of which was like a huge gravitational pressure beating down on oneself. I watched in horror as my grandfather was forced back and nearly defeated by his own brother, Iolite.

"This is the end for you, dear brother!" he shouted. Iolite came at my grandfather fast and hard, not even letting up for a second. His attacks were swift and strong. His style was in a way similar to my grandfather, but something was different. The wind his attacks produced were a red color. Whenever his sword cut something, it would burn; the feeling of such malice was present with every swing.

However, my grandfather never gave up, no matter how difficult the battle seemed. Then as I watched, my grandfather released an enormous amount of pressure and energy. The winds surrounding him were a light to dark green color having a really gentle feel to them.

My grandfather managing to force back his brother said, "Not if I can I help it! This battle is far from over Iolite. Even I lose today, someone else will rise up in my place to defeat you. This, I promise you."

Then he looked over at me as if remembering I was present and said, "Xeonix, I need you to get away from here, or you will be in danger too. I will always be here for you." "No! I can't lose you again," I shouted as tears began to flow down my cheek.

"Stubborn child! You dare disobey your grandfather? Hmmm ah-hahaha, you're definitely my grandson for sure. However, I understand how you must feel, but you must get out of here. I can't lose you too." He said with a grin.

"Don't worry about the boy brother, I will deal with him after I'm finished with you," said Iolite irritatingly. Obeying him, I ran to safe place to hide while stayed within range to see what actually happened to my grandfather. I needed to know the truth.

I watched as my grandfather stood strong once again to his feet. "What can you do now, Xeon? Age has made you weak. Once I'm done with you, I'll go back and kill the rest of our family and destroy the city!'' Iolite shouted.

Just as I was about to lose hope that my grandfather would win, out of nowhere, I started hearing a loud whistling sound accompanied by the strong winds rushed through the area surrounding my grandfather. The look my grandfather had on his face was unmistakably filled with determination.

He shouted, "Age may have its hold on me, but it is my experience and the support of my love ones that guides me!" as he charged at his brother. "What! What are you doing!" exclaimed Iolite. My grandfather yelled back, "What I should have done years ago! The fight between us ends here. No more will our family be at your mercy. ANCIENT SWORD ART! Whistling Blade of Judgment!"

There was a lively blaze of light and dark energies intermixed in front of me. I watched as the red and green energies converged and the secret of what actually happened to my grandfather was revealed at last. However, the collision from the two types of energy resonated with my sword.

At the moment of resonance, a rift opened before me and pulled me back through to my current time. "It seems he's back home safe," said the mysterious voice. "That's great in all, but was any damage done to the timeline?" asked Zeryl. "No, everything seems fine. But to be sure, let's ask him when he wakes, okay?" said the mysterious voice. "I agree, let's hope nothing too bad happens as a result."
