Chapter Eighteen

I haven't seen her for days. I was counting. Four days that I was craving to see her and touch her. My wolf and I ran in the woods every night just to lessen the desire on missing her. I was even about to go to the Blue Moon town to visit her but my father stopped me and tell me the responsibilities of an Alpha.

I train every day to be a strong Alpha as my dad. My dad told me about the strongest Alpha in the world. He can kill dozens of rogues in a snapped. He was a great man, friend, King, and Alpha. He was also a great father of all. The night of the rogue attack in the Kingdom is the night we lost our King and Queen. Everyone feels weak and feel determined at the same time.

My blood runs in my veins and my body tensed. I had smelled her. She's not that far. I use my speed to go outside our house and I saw her. My wolf howls inside my head. He was too excited and everything.

She got off from the truck. She looks like a hunter wearing a pair of skinny jeans, a white sleeveless shirt, and leather boots.

'Zoë...' I clutch her waist pulling her up and kissing her lips. She pushed me.

'Hey! Hey! Hey! There lover-boy! Hands off!' I didn't care what she will say. I missed her so much.

'Don't you miss me? And you didn't even say a word before you left!'

'Are you my boyfriend?' she asked raising her eyebrow. 'Because you are totally freaking me out.'

'No, I am not... your boyfriend.' I said quietly. 'Yeah, you are right.' I put down my hands. I need to gain her trust and to make her fall in love with me. We should date, for me to be her boyfriend. She faced the back of the truck and pulls her bag. 'Can we have dinner somewhere in the town?' please say yes.

'Sure...' what? Did she say yes? No! She says sure which is much better! I can't help the wide smile on my lips. 'I need to rest. Pick me up at seven.' She told me and she walks to the door.

'She said sure, right?' I asked Keynes. He nods at me. I turn my back with a big smile on my lips.

I looked at my open window and saw her lying on her bed. I wave at her and she turned her back from me. I waited for her to turn back to me. She isn't closing the curtains yet. I mind link her and luckily she is not blocking me.

You wanted me to massage you? You look beaten.

Seriously? I just wanted to sleep without anyone bothering me.

C'mon... I'll make you feel better.

She didn't say anything so when I saw Keynes and my sister went to the woods riding a truck, I rushed to their house. I open the door of her room and pop my head smiling at her. I walk to the bed and sat at the edge. I took her foot bringing it to my lap. I intertwine my fingers to her toes. I started massaging it.

'Sleep now.'

She closed her eyes as I continue massaging her.

She had fallen asleep and gently snoring. My wolf howls at the back of my head and wanted to jump to her. But I control him and keep him from attempting to jump on her. I crawl at her side and hugged her from the back smelling her enticing smell. It was addictive and I missed it a lot. I kissed the back of her head.

At seven, I picked her at their house. She was wearing a pair of jeans, a blouse, and a leather coat with wedge shoes which is perfect. I open the door of my car to her. Before she gets inside, I wrapped my arms around her waist and I kissed her neck smelling it.

'Hey!'

'I just missed you a lot.'

'Just drop it!' she pushed me and get in the car.

We went to a restaurant that my aunt owns. I had reserved a special table with candles and violist. Almost all of the people are wearing semi-formal attire.

'Why are we here? Just bring me in something not so formal.' She told me pulling my arm.

'No, I had told them to settle our reservation here.' I pull her back. Good thing that I wasn't wearing too formal clothes. I know that she won't wear formal so I had to wear a bit casual not to make her out-of-place. 'You look beautiful, hot, and sexy on that outfit. No need to wear too formal.' I told her wrapping my arms on her waist pulling her to our table.

I pulled a chair for her and gesture her to seat and she did. I kissed the top of her head after I walk around to my seat. I gesture the server. He gave us the menu. She looked at it with boredom in her eyes. She put the menu on the table.

'Have you ordered something for you?' I asked her.

'Nothing. What do you suggest? Just order me something.'

'Okay, I'll surprise you.' I winked at her. She rolled her eyes and scoffed amused at me. I called the server and whispered to him what I wanted. He is writing it down. She tried to eavesdrop and I just mind link the server in a bowtie.

'Too much for surprises.'

'While we are waiting for food, let's have a wine first.' Another server in bowtie gave us an appetizer wine from the ice of bucket. There's a violist who approached us and started playing the violin. She smiled leaning on her seat and watch the violist. It was Terence my third in command.

'How you like it so far?' I asked her.

'Too surprising...'

'Having fun?'

'Not at all.' She sipped on her wine. Then our orders came and settled it all in the two meters long table we had. 'Seriously? How can we finish all of these?'

'I thought you love eating...' I tease her.

'Yeah, I did love eating... so never mind. Let's eat!' that's what I like about her.

She ate a lot. She ate so wild. There is roast beef, fried chicken, salad, Filipino style spaghetti, and sushi. She ate the sweet spaghetti first with fried chicken. I love watching her while eating. I glance at Terence who is rolling his eyes while playing the violin. He might be hungry too.

'Hey, Terence the Great! Eat with us. Stop playing that violin.' I mind link Terence not to.

'I love playing the violin, my Luna.' He told her winking. She just nods.

'Your Alpha is giving you threats, I understand that.' My jaw drops on what she said. Terence stopped playing the violin. 'But seriously, if you are not going to eat with us, at least plays me the Beethoven's Sonata No. 9 The Kreutzer.'

He smiled and bowed at her. Then he positioned again the violin and plays it again. Terence takes a break and we ate our dessert.

'I heard that there's an attack here?' she asked eating her strawberry and chocolate mousse.

'Yeah, we had killed them before they got into our territory. There are at least ten of them. The good thing is they are not that many.'

'Is someone got hurt?' I asked him.

'Some scratches. The doctors had given the antidote for it.'

'Those Lycan's that we are dealing with, have a rabis with them. They are unstable and when you got a single scratch or worst a bite, you might die or end up like them. The only cure for it is the blood of hybrid. It can be half-human and wolf or witch and wolf, etc.'

'You let me drink your blood...'

'Yeah, the Lycans that attack you are in class A of Seferis's army. They have a strong poison with them.'

'No, this that means you are a hybrid?' this is getting to know each other date. This my way for her to open up to me. She didn't say anything and just scoop her dessert bringing it to her mouth. Okay, I know the answer. If she's an enchantress and the half might be a wolf or vampire? I don't smell that she is a werewolf. What might she be? And there's no existent of vampires.

'I'm a vampire...' she winks teasing me. She read my mind.

'Bit me if you are a vampire.' I confronted her leaning forward with a slow seductive smile.

'Oh, I'm a late bloomer that's why I don't have my fangs yet.' She plays along. She looked at my back and her eyes sparkle. 'Where's Terence?'

'Why are you looking for him?' I asked her to narrow my eyes.

'I just wanted an accompanist.' She stood from her seat and walk to the white grand piano. She calls Terence and he stood beside her. I stood from my seat and then she started playing the piano while Terence is playing the violin.

That was amazing. It's not like Terence is accompanying her but they are competing in the same song. The people inside the restaurant including the servers and the chefs and my aunt had watched them playing. She was carefree while playing the piano.

I took her to the lake view in the New Moon town. I had a blanket and two round cushions. The stars are clear and I love gazing at them at night. I always went to this lake when I feel lonely thinking about where to find my mate. I waited for a shooting star and to wish that my mate would come to me. Then here she is beside me. But still clueless about our bond.

She lay on the blanket with a cushion on her head and stare above the skies with billions of stars. I look down at her and watch her blue eyes wander on the sky.

'The first song that I had to learn about playing the piano is Beethoven's little star.'

'Ahuh...' I lay beside her.

'It was hard though. But it makes me fall asleep when my dad plays it on me while my mom sings it.'

'Can you sing it to me?' she laughs and just stare at the stars.

'No...'

'Why not? I love your voice...' I turn at her sideways facing her. 'I missed you. My wolf makes me crazy while you are gone. We even think that you had run away from us for another man. I know it's crazy but, we don't want you too far away from us.'

'Stop it...'

'Stop what?' I asked her cuddling her hair on my fingers. She looked at me.

'I don't usually hear those things. In fact, it was my first time hearing those.'

'Well, you should get used to it. I might say those every time.'

'Okay... can we sleep here?' she looks back at the sky.

'Sure...' I gathered a few blocks of wood, and she fired it up. We sat there as we cover another blanket on our shoulders. We put the marshmallows on a stick while we are heating it on the fire. 'Natasha said that you visited your parents.'

'Yeah.'

'I thought they are dead.'

'Yes, they are. But Keynes' parents are not.'

'So he's not your real brother?' I asked her confuse.

'Yeah. He is my guardian.'

'Okay, so how's the Blue Moon town?'

'They are perfect. Some things have changed since the war.'

'You mean it was your first time to visit there again?'

'Yeah, we have been to different packs to find things out and never got time to go back there.' I wrapped my arms around her. I lean on her shoulder. 'The children there are having their training too. Good thing that Keynes didn't allow them to hurt each other.'

'If he's not the next Alpha. what he is?'

'The next right hand of the Queen, the Beta.'

'Oh... that's a high position. Does that mean that his father is Falcon?' she nods yawning.
