Chapter 1- The Girl Nextdoor

I turned around to find a blonde-haired girl with ocean blue eyes standing at the bottom the steps. I couldn't help but stare. My body felt tingly and the faint smell of pine trees floated to my nostrils.

"Something the matter?"

I snapped out of my daze, " Oh sorry, uh can I help you?"

She stammered, " W-well, I wanted to meet the new neighbors, so I-I thought I would come say h-hello..."

I could tell she was nervous by her body....

'Woah where did that come from,..' I thought. I never usually think like that. I came back to reality and decided to lighten the tension.

" Well it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Karto. Karto Trak. What's yours?" I said with a pleasant smile.

"Abril, Abril Smith, but some call me April it sounds more convenient." Abril replied with a shy smile.

"Abril that's a very nice name. I know this may sound abrupt but would you like to come in?" I asked.

"I would but I have to go back." she leaned close and whispered, " My father is really overprotective. Especially when I am around boys."

"I understand. Are you going to the highschool here?"

"Yeah! Are you?!"

I nodded, "Yep."

"Awesome! Then I will see you there tomorrow night!" Abril squealed, and she ran off West to the next house down. I just watch her go feeling a little confused.

"Okay that was a first. I will say that she very attractive." I told myself out loud, "Welp my bags aren't going to unpack themselves!"

Abril's POV

I ran to my house as quick as I possibly could with using my abilities. I couldn't believe that I was living next to my mate!

'Father isn't going to be very willing about our mate! I just can't wait for us to mate with him.'

my wolf was stuck between excitement and nervousness.

'Hey could you not put those thoughts in my mind right now.' I scolded.

I reached the steps to see Father waiting for my return, the frown on his face said more than anything.

I sigh, "Hi Fath-"

He held up his hand, "No need to say a word about it. Now please go attend to your lessons."

I groaned, I had been training since I was strong enough to draw back a bow and hold a gun and yet he still insisted I continued with lessons. Only now it was close combat and the instructor was not the greatest. Especially when it came to werewolf combat. I went to room to change and I caught the scent of honey on the wind. I breathed it in deeply and felt hot.
