What Is She Planning?

(From Ruby's Perspective)

When I was called to be at the Imperial Palace through a letter from the Queen, I was shocked. I wanted to shake Luc and King Demetrius for letting her go to the palace alone. I probably should not get angry at King Demetrius. His condition was not good, as Luc said. He also mentioned King Demetrius had to leave the battlefield and went somewhere safe for the time being. I never thought this was possible until it happened.

What was Luc doing then? And what about King Ford? Why did they let Her Highness go to the palace alone where there could be spies and assassins? She did not even take Perita and Calix.

What the hell was she thinking?

I could only hope she was okay. Flint teleported us there one hour before midnight.

"What is Her Highness thinking?" Calix muttered.

"Her Highness has lost her mind completely now," Flint said. "It must be because she stayed with His Highness for far too long."
