Breaching The Law Of Nature

(From Blue's Perspective)

"I don't know what I expected, but certainly not this," Evan mumbled beside me as the knights of the duke were on one knee, their heads bowed as they pledged their loyalty to me. They were the knights that the duke led in the war. I had told the duke enough things to convince him. It was actually easier than I thought.

"Maybe you should prepare for some surprises too," I said. Dem lost his eye and maybe his life too because he never expected much of a surprise. He should have been cautious, but he was too confident. That was the mistake he made.

Evan did not ask me many things, maybe because he was too shocked. However, he said he did not believe the knights would follow me so quickly. It took him by surprise when the knights did, and even the duke's knights were offering me their swords. The duke had a way with words, but now I noticed, I did too.
