Chapter 21
Dexter, he just kept thinking about the mysterious woman that he couldn't immediately approach at the hospital. It was he, who that morning really wanted to talk eye to eye to be able to meet and talk again with that woman, but he had to make up his mind not to be able to talk to her. But the feeling that he couldn't lie was what made him just daydream on that day.
"Come on Dexter, please focus your mind on your work that has been piling up in front of you right now!" Said Dexter who encouraged himself in the late morning at that day.
Dexter, he also tried to do all of the work that he could that day. He couldn't deny that the woman he had been waiting for just passed by, and he couldn't do anything to just talk to her.
And at that time, in another room in the same office, Jasper he was just trying to give his best effort for all of the work that he was doing at the Éclat Beauty skin care office.
Even though he is a new branch Manager at that Éclat Beauty skin care, he can adapt very easily and do all of the work that has become his responsibility on that day. Because of his passion to give all of the best for his wife and his future children. That's what makes Jasper always diligent in his work from the beginning when he found out that his wife was pregnant, so that day when he had to work even harder at that Éclat Beauty skin care, as a new manager.
"I actually can't wait to be able to return home soon. Ah, I don't know why because that's what underlies my enthusiasm for work. Maybe it's because soon I will be a father, so I can't wait to meet Stella and the child who she's carrying in her womb!" Jasper said in his room, as he stared at the computer screen in front of him.
He just smiled as he imagined he would one day be able to hold the child that he'd been dreaming of for years.
"I can't wait to be able to hold the child that is now being carried by Stella. Hmm, if only those 9 months could pass so quickly!" He said again in his heart, while doing his work in the branch manager's room at that Éclat Beauty skin care company.
And on that day, many of Jasper's subordinates talked about Jasper's expertise in carrying out all of his duties as a new Manager at the Éclat Beauty skin care company.
Several of them were conversing together, discussing the extraordinary ability of that new Manager, Jasper.
"Mr. Jasper should be able to get promoted again, right?. I don't think he is just suitable to be a branch manager only, but more than that. Isn't that right, friends?" Daniel said to several of his co-workers, in the workspace of them.
"Hmmm, yes it could be. We can recommend Mr. Jasper again as a trusted person from Mr. Dexter. But it seems we have to wait for the right time. Because it would be a waste if someone as talented as Mr. Jasper just became a branch manager only at this Éclat Beauty skin care company!"
"Ah, yes you are right, Daniel!" Delvina she replied Daniel, who was also Jasper's colleague.
"Hey, that's it. Let's get back to work now, friends!. Later, our work will pile up. And if Mr. Dexter finds out that we don't do all of our work on time, then our history her will be over, friends!" Said Daniel who invited the several colleague of him, his friends to immediately return to their work activities, at the Éclat Beauty skin care office.
And it was the time for lunch for all of them, both Jasper and some of the employees they immediately went to the cafeteria which was also located on that company.
Jasper, who was sitting alone, was then approached by the several of his co-workers, who supported that man in his candidacy as a new branch manager at the Éclat Beauty skin care office.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Jasper. How has your job which has been more than a week gone as a new Manager?. Are you having any difficulties?" Asked Daniel who teased Jasper a little on that bright day.
"Hmmm, actually I admit that there are a few difficulties. And yes, but at this point I have started to be able to adapt well to all of the work responsibilities that I have to complete. Well then, I'll just treat you guys this afternoon. And let me pay for all of your food!" Jasper said to Daniel, Delvina and some of his co-workers.
"Aren't you lying, Mr. Jasper?. Are you serious?" Asked Delvina, she who confirmed the words that just came out of Jasper's mouth.
"Yes Delvina. It's okay, I told you I was being kind, didn't I?. Right now you guys take what you want to eat. And I'll pay for it!" Jasper replied while he smiling at some of his co-workers in that cafeteria.
"Oh yes sir. Thank you very much. And then we will immediately order and also take the lunch that has been sold in this cafeteria!" Delvina, and she then answered Jasper's words.
Immediately, Jasper then paid for the food from the some of his co-workers on that afternoon. He really felt lucky, because he met a lot of the good people in the company where he worked.
Soon the day had passed very quickly for Jasper, who had already finished his lunch for the day. Jasper then he did all of the rest of the work that he had to do on that day. And without realizing it, it was the time for Jasper to go home.
Then he immediately bought the dinner for his wife Stella, at a restaurant across the street which was located opposite of the Eclat Beauty skin care company, the place where he worked.
"I think it looks like Stella has been waiting for me to come home for a long time today, and I need to get home soon!" Jasper said to himself on that afternoon.
