Her Mother Looked a Little Flustered
Yun Shu swept her gaze around the house and realized that her mother was not at home. She turned to her grandmother who was in the kitchen to start preparing their lunch and spoke, "Grandma, where is my mother?"
"Your mother?" Yao Ying was busy cutting some honeydew to feed her granddaughter. She glanced at Yun Shu for a while before turning her attention back to the fruit. "She went out early this morning." Yao Ying paused for a brief second as a thought came to her mind. "Perhaps she went out to buy some gift for your in-laws. After all, this is our first meeting with them."
Yun Shu started to ponder over this. She recalled that Qi Zheng came from a wealthy family. Will his family accept what they bring for them? They would not look down on her family, would they?
Although the Qi family had treated her nicely, Yun Shu did not know them quite well after all.
