The next morning, Ethan didn't wake up as usual. Instead, he stayed in bed with his eyes open, staring at the ceiling. Exhausted from continuous fighting, he decided to rest today. After killing so many monsters yesterday, Ethan felt something within his heart that he had never felt before. His hands were trembling, not from anxiety, but from an overwhelming desire to kill. He was surprised by this urge and tried to suppress it.
Early in the morning, just as he woke up, Ethan wanted to go to the forest to hunt. But after taking only two steps, he stopped himself. This behavior surprised even him. He had been suppressing his thoughts about killing, fearing it was some kind of side effect. Without wasting any time, Ethan asked the system about it.
"System, what's going on with me? Why do I have this urge to kill?"
"So you have noticed," the system replied, as if expecting the question.
