24. System's Teaching

Standing behind the tree, Ethan was really helpless, as the way the monster was acting.

" You bastard, I just put a small hole into you. And not as big as your male partner. Then why are behaving like this."

Ethan was also starting to get angry.

" Ethan , i think it's not a female but a male. that's why he is angry."

Ethan couldn't believe it." How did you know about it."

" Obviously, because he is acting crazy."

" Do you think , if it was a female, it would have given me a flower bouquet otherwise."

" This.... I didn't think of that."

" Ok , just stay silent. You and your intelligence. Sometimes i doubt, you are even a system at all."

Elaina on the other side was about to collespe, watching ethan standing still there.

" Ethan , do something. I can't hold on." Elaina shouted on top of her lungs.

Looking at Elaina, who was in a pinch. Ethan shouted.

" Elaina, just hold this monster for 5 second, can you do that."

Finished speaking, he didn't wait for Elaina's replied and started to consentrate his mana on a single attack .

It's a kind of experiment, Ethan had been thinking about. Whenever he used his skill, his mana comes out in a very little quantity. So what if , I used the mana all at once.

' now it's time to find out.' thinking this, ethan started to gather all his mana into his palm. Even though as level C super being, he doesn't have much mana but for him now . It's more then enough.

When he finished gathering all the mana into his palm. After suppressing a little he started to wait for his chance to strike.

As the monster and Elaina were fighting each. Dust cloud were everywhere. Nothing could be seen clearly. Tree and grass have long gone. They felt like they were fighting in a desolate place. With nothing but land.

Just as the monster wanted to attack Elaina with his powerful tail.

Elaina suddenly burst into green glow. From inside her. Green colour vine started to come out.and srounded the monster.

In the start he was able break the vines but as the vines got thicker and to many, he started to slow down. And this is what Ethan was looking for.

He was already about to lose control of this much mana. Seeing his chance, he shot the fire beam at monsters butthole again.

But he never would have thought. When the fire beam came out of his hand. Because of recoil , he was thrown quite far behind but the fire beam reached its destination.

This time, the fire beam was not a finger size but a bucket size. And it directly went through to backside of the monster.

Without any chance to avoid, he was engulf in that dangerous beam.

When the dust in the air got cleared. There was only half chared body of the monster was left. And all of his backside was gone.

Ethan slumped to the ground with no energy left to stand , but he was happy with the attack none the less.

Outside the forest, all the judges were in state of shock. They never thought these two would be so ridiculous to actually kill that monster.

In disbelief they couldn't uttar a word, and stood there quite a while.

Suddenly, one of them finally opened his mouth and said.

" It's a good that we put the cameras on top the trees aswell, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to watch such an interesting fight."

" How do you think, we should evaluate them." Hearing this , they started thinking. After a while they came to a decision to give Elaina the first place and Ethan as a second place winner.

After the intresting part had finished, they just took their seats and started to pass the time. Because after that battle, everything looks a little uninteresting.

Elaina, who also had little energy left walked up to ethan. And sat down beside him.

" Both of us are out of energy, we can't stay here any longer. We have to go somewhere else."

Ethan nodded and thought about the competition, ' I don't know how they will evaluate over fight this time but we can't take the risk'. Thinking this he asked system.

' Do you have anyway to quickly restore my energy. if we left the forest now then we don't know if we can score higher than the others.'

System didn't answered for a while as Ethan about think that even system doesn't have any good idea to help him in this situation. System suddenly spoke.

' I have a way, but Ethan first promise me that you wouldn't rely on this in the future. This is an emergency that's why I am telling you.'

' seriously, what the hell is this that made you so serious.'

' we don't have much time to cheat chat. Just promise me.'

' alright, alright, i promise, i wouldn't use the thing you are talking about without any emergency.fine now.'

' ok now I can go ahead.'

This suspense is making ethan very frustrated.

' atleast,tell me what are you going to do.'

System sighed and said.

' nothing actually , I just have to absorb the core and transfer the energy to you.'

Ethan became speechless, ' thats it. All those promise thingie for this. Really.'

' Ethan, i am being serious. You can't get used to this kind of things. You will have to learn how to conserve energy so this type situation would never occur. it's for your own good.'

Actually, Ethan trust the system very much. When he was nothing, system helped him where he is now. So he decided to accept system advice.

' ok only in emergency only.'

After that, system took all the core in his inventory. And absorbed it. After a little while ethan felt the energy returning to himself. And in just a second he was back to full.

Elaina on the side , watched him mouth agape. She couldn't believe her eyes. Pointing a finger in front of ethan she said in disbelief.

" You...you... How... Is that... possible."
